The purpose of our sensor is to indicate several valuable information for the coffee machine user, like the group head idle temperature and the water temperature just near the coffee puck.

Essential
I own a Rocket Appartamento. I had trouble with bitter shots and overheating. The first thermometer I tried was purchased from Svendson's, sold on Chris's Coffee. It was unnecessarily tedious with poor instructions and the first one didn't work. Coffee Sensors thermometer is far better quality with easy installation. All you need for installation is provided. It works great! And makes a difference without use of a PID. I also like the service provided by Coffee Sensor. They answer questions promptly, thoroughly, without condescention! They got package out fast from Europe by DHL. Would definitely buy from them again.

Perfect
Works perfectly in my ECM Mechanika V Slim.

It provides accurate temperature reading at the E61 group head.
I use it to measure the temperature at the group head of my Rocket Appartamento espresso machine. If the temperature at the head is too high, I flush some water through it to cool it down to recommended temperature before starting the brewing.

A Must have
This is a must have for espresso machine users with a e61 group head that don’t have a built in brew boiler thermometer. Because you pull a shot at different temps for a lighter roast or a darker roast it’s essential to know your brew temp for a delicious shot. This has worked perfectly for me

You need this more than you know
I added this to my 969 Elba. It has made a world of a difference. Before this I did not know how much the temperature can swing and more important how it changed the taste of my espresso. Now I know my sweet spot and I'm pulling Rome Airport quality espresso shots.

Almost there.
I have a Rocket Appartamento and this almost screws on upright. I have just one washer as per the instructions. Two washers screw it on upright however I’m unsure if that would affect the temperature reading. I have a spare plastic washer that was on the original hex screw on the rocket. I’ll try and see if that fixes the position because it appears thinner than the copper wash. Hopefully without affecting the temperature readings.UPDATE: Changed it to 5 stars. I added the plastic wash that was included with the original e61 hex screw. The thermometer fits upright because after it’s screwed in you can shift the thermometer to adjust the whole thing 😐. Anyway, I found several other videos that showed how to install this. I would say 4/5 or 6 videos showed to install it with the plastic wash.

Works perfectly.
Fit perfectly in our ECM and works perfectly. It’s challenging getting the water right, but this thermostat seems to work perfectly. So hard to measure brew group temp otherwise.
