Claire Bowman Cake Lace - Pearlised Soft Gold (200g)

Never use this before, but I thought I would give it a go. I purchased pale gold pearl Clair Bowman edible lace. I followed the instructions on the tub, I couldn’t believe how easy it was. I made four strips, used them straight away using cooled boiled water to adhere it to my cake, it was absolutely brilliant. I had read in a review that the pearl effect can become crispy, I didn’t find that at all. I hope you agree it looks good. Love the gold colour it’s really shiny.I didn’t use much and it will last in the tub for months, good value for the price. I’ll be trying other colours.

Just too pricy I'd say for what it is. But it worked well & did the job. Not a lot on the tub either. So maybe the price was not justified in my opinion.

Cake decorating

Stunning.Bake the metallic colours for only 8-10 mins at 70-80 degrees. Let it cool. No second layer required. There is a Claire bowman video on ytube also suggesting the same timings. Works every time. Would absolutely recommend.

Use this item before it’s okay came exactly when it was supposed to

No date on the item most companies give at least 6 months date to use the product not 3 weeks :( very disappointed

Ordered soft gold but got white lace instead. There’s a sticker on side of tub stating it soft gold when the packaging and contents clearly are white lace. There is no option for return either. Soft gold costs more than white lace too. Can’t say much other than disappointed.
