It also goes through batteries quickly unless you pay another $200 for a big battery. For the money, it should come with at least a fabric case for protection. The best part is that it’s so easily moved through tight spaces. The light is so bright at full strength that I usually only use it at medium or low strength (there are three light levels). A good tool, but expensive for what it is. [edit] Had to bump this to five stars... I use it all the time, and have come to depend on it for almost all my work. Having good light in a workspace is essential, and to duplicate what this thing does, you's have to put up a ladder and then clamp a light to it, with cords across the floor, etc (for long jobs, you really need to plug it in because it *does* drain batteries quickly). It's just great in every way, but again I wish there was some sort of padded nylon case for this price. If you do any kind of surface work (walls, ceilings, floors), this light will make your life SO much easier. Drywall and patching drywall, especially... if you set it as a "raking" light (going across the surface) it shows you the evenness of your surface work beautifully. My work is better and easier because of this thing, and I have come to depend on it. I keep it in the box because it's pretty precious to me. It is extremely bright and very easy to use. Setup and storing happens in a matter of seconds. Carrying it around is like carrying a briefcase. The fact that you can use the M18 batteries or a power cord to power the Rocket makes it very practical.
