Super light-weight and simple to program.The Michron is very small and very light. It will be no problem to pack in and out of the toughest areas.Programming is a breeze using the smart phone app. The app is pretty straightforward, but also has some deep-dive settings that are more complex. Wish there was a reference manual, but I think most will figure it out through exploring.The Michron will fit your hot shoe, but DOES NOT REQUIRE it for power or interface. You can put a flash on, if needed, and still use the Michron.I highly recommend the Michron.One note: All Canon interface cables are not the same; be completely sure your model is listed in the title of the listing. I accidentally got the wrong one. Only requires a different cable, but it was disappointing not to be able to test it out right away!

Totally stoked to use this on some starry nights. I bought this with the hopes of capturing some Northern Lights on a recent trip up to Lake Superior, but the clouds said "no timelapse for you." I give the clouds 1 star. This product gets 5.Super easy set-up. Check out their website for some really well-produced and informative video tutorials.

I took this on an 8-day rafting trip down the Colorado River. I used it a night to get some great time lapse pictures of the beautiful Grand Canyon night sky. Very compact and very easy to use with my Nikon D7100.

Michron is one of the smartest Timelapse intervalameters on the market! I've had the pleasure of owning a Michron for the last year and would encourage both novice and professional Time-lapsers to check it out.For beginners, the michron offers presets for clouds, traffic, stars. For more advanced users, the app offers features like ramping, time delays, HDR.My favorite thing about the michron is simply the user interface for calculating the length of the completed Timelapse vs. the amount of time photos needed/time to take the photos. Use to have to do this in my head, but super easy and fast now.This little guy rocks!

Michron is a truly remarkable time-lapse device, perfect for hiking/backpacking trips where weight really matters. We use this on our More Than Just Parks project in the national parks on long hikes for this very reason. Stash it in a pocket, clip it to the camera, or keep it in a bag this thing is the definition of convenience. I absolutely love the smartphone app interface - every time-lapse device should have this. At under $100 it is an easy and affordable time-lapse solution. I highly recommend.
