Some help but not a miracle cure for all old batteries
I did a lot of online research about desulfating lead acid batteries. With about 5 older batteries for cars, lawn tractor and computer backup needing help, I figured about $25 was worth a try. Got this a couple years ago. Most postings say that some older batteries are beyond salvation, others might be helped. With the possibility of shorted or open cells, that made sense to me. No desulfator could fix those problems.I was able to get another couple years from two batteries which wouldn't take or hold a charge when I began the experiment. One car battery and one computer backup battery got no help from the Wizbangplus. I figure I got my money's worth with the extra service from the two batteries that were helped. One thing they don't emphasize enough is this device uses about 40-50 milliamps so it's a good idea to hook it up in parallel with a float charger so the battery doesn't go flat.It will be an interesting experiment to put this on all my batteries for a few weeks each year, a few days at a time every couple months. We'll see if they last longer than normal. Right now I have a car battery which is 7 years old and starting to show signs of weakness on cold mornings. My 100 amp load tester showed the battery is getting weak. Drops to 9.5 volts after ten seconds load test. Should be about 10.6 volts for an 800 CCA battery. I'll be interested to see how it tests after a couple weeks on the Wizbangplus.I thought the terminal rings on this device were not at all useful. I removed them and soldered on a couple of battery charger type terminal clamps so it's easy to install and remove the Wizbangplus as I move it from battery to battery. I see no need to leave this permanently connected to any one battery. Battery sulfation doesn't just happen slam bang. If you keep a battery reasonably charged up during most of it's life, desulfation isn't constantly needed.Batteries which only see occasional use, such as lawn tractors or snow blowers or cars stored during the winter are the ones which would benefit most from desulfation.

Don't be Fooled by Deceptive Advertising-Product is nothing but J-U-N-K-!!!
12/11/2012--UPDATE: Not even six months since I purchased this product and all five of them are nothing but J-U-N-K. BUYER BEWARE do so at your own risk!!! They will pull a an 8 month old battery (six year warranty) down to nothing if you don't recharge the battery at least every five days. Wait seven days and you won't be able start your automobile. I used to be able to go an entire month before that would happen. Does this little box do anything like is advertised. Good Question. I know it has a little green light and it constantly HUMMMMSSSS!ORIGINAL REVIEW: I've been using this product for about four months now and the first thing I noticed is there seems to be NO DIFFERENCE between the Battery Desulfator for Wheelchairs and Car, Truck, Motorhome, Caravan Desulfator! The model number printed on the label is identical. Once I received all 5 of the ones I ordered, found the instruction sheet left a lot to be desired. It tells you to attach the black wire to Ground and the red wire to the positive side of the battery. It also says to leave the unit hooked up permanently. What the instruction sheet failed to warn you about is that while that little Wizbangplus is attached to your battery, that it has a continual draw of power 24/7. I gave this product 3 stars only because I feel it has done the job it was supposed to have done. Also the instruction sheet makes no mention of how much of draw is occurring in that 24 hours, or how long one should leave it connected till the job is finished. One or two examples for each "model" would have helped considerably.I feel using a Desulfator is something every battery deserves at least once every two years if you want to get the most life out of your battery. A Desulfator like this one for a mere $25 is more of a "Joke" than it is a practical useful tool. Leaving this one hooked up 24/7 with the lack of instruction as well lack of diagnostics I would NOT RECOMMEND this product to a friend or anyone else. Why the seller of this product stated at the time I purchased my five units, that there was only 2 left for Cars, Trucks, Motorhomes, and Caravans and only 3 left for the Jazzy Breezy Wheelchair Batteries (and both came with the same model number) and that more were coming for each (and they did--the next day), but all five of the ones I received work just fine in either application, makes me wonder if this isn't some marketing scheme to get a person to buy in a hurry. SORRY! I don't care for deceptive advertising!

Amazon ---- Zero Stress!
I bought (2) of these and they operated audibly different on the connected batteries. And switching batteries the result was the same. I continued using them for a month while charging with no change in the audible oddities. I wrote a polite request to the manufacturer for guidance to troubleshoot or what?. In the ensuing month I got no response from the manufacturer. So I wrote again and fifteen days later without any response from the manufacturer, I contacted Amazon to voice my concern and they returned my expenses, and took over the problem company. These desulfators are warrantied providing they acknowledge your communication. I wouldn't suggest a purchase of one of these without a 30 day "trust me, no cost, trial period". These devises apparently take a month or so to show an improvement, and I was prepared to go on with a little assurance that the devices were working acceptably within the audible oddities and electrical testing parameters that I was getting. I have over 50 years as an electrician and rebuilt batteries in the 1950's. This process is proven to be the solution to these RV, 4-wheeler and such batteries that spend a substantial amount of their life (short or long) on charge.Amazon could teach lessons on the value of customer relations, and they have people that are polite, helpful and responsive. I kind'a like that! Jim
