Cool metronome for kids
Bought this for my 10 year-old who is learning to play violin and she loves it. It’s neat being able to see the gears and stuff inside. By using a wind-up mechanism rather than batteries you can get 10 minutes or so of non-stop use. Since it’s made of brittle plastic there is a risk of it cracking if dropped, and it makes more of a tapping noise rather than a knocking noise like a traditional wooden metronome. But so far it’s worked just fine and the transparent blue casing looks great.

Pleasantly loud volume and visible mechanism... Not just for Violin and Ukulele!!
Classic design-wind it up and go.What I find most desirable in this unit is that the plastic construction is more resonant, therefore louder! The click is pleasant enough. there is an (annoying) downbeat bell if you want it, but I prefer the straight click. Also cool to be able to see the mechanism!! I like it and have recommended it!NOTE: Some people are complaining about the beat being uneven. With a mechanical metronome, it is critical that it be on a totally level surface. If your surface is not level, get something to make the metronome base be level. That should solve your problem.

Works good, sounds cheap.
This metronome keeps good time, it's easy to adjust, and is a handy tool for practicing. It's priced decently, and has a very "classic" look about it. It's made of mostly plastic and some cheap, thin metal for things like the arm and counterweight. If anything, the "tock" sound it makes sounds hollow and plasticy. It's not a particularly pleasant sound, to my ears. There are other, better sounding options out there... but this will get the job done.

Be a better Ukulele player
I purchased this to improve my chord switching. I want to become a smoother, faster, more accurate ukulele player. The best way to do this is with a metronome. Each swing produces a nice loud sound letting you hear it over your playing. The metronome doesn't lie! Beginning with 40 bpm it can increase in 2 beat increments. If you aren't playing to the beat, you'll know it!! The see-through cover is easy off and on. Mine is transparent and is neat to watch in action. No cons here on the device. However, no actual English directions come with it. No explanation of the set pitch lever. No direction of how to shut off little bell if you should want to. No directions on when or how to oil. Overall, I am satisfied with my purchase. If my playing doesn't improve- it won't be the metronome's fault!

I am happy with my new metronome.
I have been working with the metronome for about a month and it works well, from slow beats (55) to fast beats (220) it remains steady. (I replace my other metronome because it started to become unsteady at slower speeds.) Wind it up and it goes for 10 minutes or so. The click is pretty loud and also has a bell feature for 3/4 time or whatever, the bell rings ever 2, 3 , or 4 beats. I am happy with it so far, lets see if it last over time, no pun intended.

Broken with 2 months
This looks pretty cool with clear cover so you can see the actual mechanics inside. Within a couple months of usage, however, the beats become unsteady to the point of unusable. I’d suggest to save the money and buy something else more reliable than this piece of crap.

I am not a professional musician
I have no idea how to use this thing to make music, but I do have a good ear, and I love clocks. So I've been trying to match it to prerecorded music, and just listening to it tick in the background while doing chores helps keep me focused. I do have various instruments and would love to play, but I don't have spare time with work.

Cool modern metronome
It is see through, which is cool, bigger than i expected, also good, and the tock is is louder that other metronomes i’ve used which is great. Additionally the numbers and italian tempo descriptors are large enough to read and there is a downbeat bell that can be adjusted to 2,3,4, and 6 beats per measure. I am a professional musician and i love. It is not meant to be portable. It’s too big to be carrying around all over the place, if you want that buy i smaller model.
