Surprises According to Humphrey

My daughter loves, loves, loves these books!

3rd grader loved it and read it one day. She was totally hooked.

I have read and thoroughly enjoyed books 1 thru 4 of the series, then passed them on to RVing friends in South Carolina. In return, they just recently gifted me with books 5 thru 9! OK, so I'm 82 years old and not one of the youngsters these books by Betty Birney slants them to but they are just FUN - FUN - FUN reads! My SC friends figure that they will pass them on to their church Pre-school classes. So, as I pass each of these volumes back to them, I imagine they will be going that route also. Back to Youngsters! Yeah! Go Humphrey!

This book series is so sweet. My b/g twins just love Humphrey and all the kids in Room 26. These books would make amazing movies. Hint hint...

We first tried this series because "Trouble According to Humphrey" was on the Texas Bluebonnet reading list and we have been hooked on the series ever since. My daughter was in the start of 4th grade and my son was in Kindergarten when we began. I've read them out loud to them and they both enjoy them. We've now read the whole series and we keep the books in the car and my daughter rereads them when we're driving. The kids love the characters and enjoy Humphrey's adventures.

I am a third grade teacher and once my school librarian handed me the first of the series,I was hooked. I then read it aloud to my class and we went Humphrey crazy (girls and boys)! We checked out Betty's website and entered a contest-we couldn't get enough! My students were ordering their own copies at home and reading them and borrowing them. I have read all of the books thus far in the series and each one is so creatively written it's just amazing. Beware that kids do want a class pet after reading it!!!

What a cute series. I started this series after taking notice of the rave reviews. It does not dissappoint!! We spend our nights reading this as a family. The girls find Humphrey and and all his adventures hilarious. My children are 11 and 8 and throughly enjoy these books!

I always LOVE Humphrey books! It cheers me up if I feel sad. My favorite books are every series. I never find any fault in these books. Great job Betty. Keep it up!

I had this sent to my grandson in Australia. It arrived quickly and he enjoyed the book. I picked it because my grandson in Canada who is a year older really likes the Humphrey series.
