MMS Magic Light Bulb Trick

I have ordered a total of 4 of these and was disappointed. The first one didn't light at all and the 2nd and 3rd one would barely light, dead batteries in the bulbs and poor connectivity. This is not against the sellers because they did their jobs right and the bulbs were sealed brand new in the packages. Also, Amazon was amazing and very generous to me in helping me find a replacement so that I would have a good showing experience. Thank you Amazon! I ordered my 4th bulb from a different supplier and it worked. The connection was great and the bulb was bring. It was just that the glass of the bulb was not connected to the base. It was obvious that it had be at one time but the glue used just would not hold it in place. Glass was not broken so I could glue it again. If you are looking for a dependable, quality product do not buy this one.

This bulb was great! My 7 year old son used it in his magic show performed in front of the entire school! It was his grand finale. It worked every time and he never had an issue with it. He probably turned it on at least 50 times. Wonderful 'magic'

Poor workmanship. Bulb was loose from the base due to insufficient epoxy. The bulb would not work. With all the hoops I must jump through to return this item, I believe it will cost me more of my time returning the product then what the product is worth.PLEASE NOTE: If you purchase this product as a part of an Uncle Fester costume, DO NOT PUT IN YOUR MOUTH! The product contains Lead. This is a magic act gag. Not an accessory for Uncle Fester costume.HELLO: I just read through the other reviews and was shocked that NO ONE else mentioned the LEAD issue. This alone should be enough to pull this item from inventory. The instruction panel on the side of the box it came in, has in all caps "THIS IS NOT A TOY," how many people out there will purchase the product as an accessory item for a child's Halloween costume, then watch them put it in their mouths. Assuming they get their hands on one that actually works before Halloween.

I got this for an Uncle Fester costume.If you are looking to use this for an Uncle Fester costume be aware of the following important things:1) You will have to rig a wire on the end in order to create Fester's famous light bulb in the mouth trick. The light only lights up when there is a metal contact touching the screwy bit with the end nubbin. (One reviewer said that their friend used the wire from a twist tie).2) There is a large LEAD HAZARD warning on the box warning that you should never put it in your mouth. The end bit has solder on it like a real light bulb and the solder has lead in it.Aside from the heavy metal poisoning and rigging with a metal bit for the (potentially highly toxic) Fester effect its pretty great though. Looks and feels like a real light bulb. You can put it on a table or have medics remove it from your rectum at an emergency room or pretty much anything you might wish to do with a real light bulb.Except using it as a light bulb because the box says that that will burn it out immediately.

This Halloween, we're dressing up as the Addams Family and my brother wanted to be Uncle Fester. We needed a lightbulb and after looking over the reviews I decided to get this lightbulb. I took the advice of another customer who said he used foil on the bottom of the lightbulb to light it up. It worked spledidly! I was very satisfied with the product. It was also shipped quickly.

This is not a good product. I tried this product and a similar one and they are both very cheap and don't perform as indicated. This is not worth the money. It also came in dented on the light bulb. I took apart and was able to push out and it "looked okay," but it never functioned as the ad shows.

I received last time. It was completely damaged. I had to returned it the seller. Second time received, it is not working because outside and outside bulbs were not properly glued. It is my hobby and interest to show the tricks and magics to the small children. Please don't send it to me again. I will take care of the expenses.Have a nice day

This item is often advertised as "Uncle Fester's light bulb". Having just played Fester in The Addams Family Musical I can tell you it CAN be that---but with some care and adjustments.It has lead on the ends and needs metal around the base as well as metal on the bottom (2 connections if you will) to light.So this end with the lead that needs metal has to go into your mouth! And to make it work (and look good and convincing) it should only light when it gets into your mouth.I won't get into the stressful trials and what I used until I discovered the answer. The answer that worked for me.Find a reed diffuser...Take the ring that helps hold the reeds together at the top of the glass container many of them come in. It looks like metal but it isn't. Line it with a piece of foil with one side open to stick the bulb in, and leaving enough at the open end (the end of the bulb where lead is), and have it be sort of flexible so it is not touching the base.Put it in your mouth with your teeth on the ring (on the base), and use your tongue to push the small bit of excess foil at the end to the base of the bulb to make it light. It had a nice tight fit and I simply took it off when done with the bit. (Be careful as the whole base came out of the bulb. I just used a spare bulb after that.)THE AUDIENCE LOVED IT!Because I had tried it with just aluminum foil when I just got it and had a metallic taste in my mouth I knew that wouldn't work. And as I said for it to look really good it can't light until it's in your mouth.Hope this helps any of you Festers-to-be. Apparently there are safer no-lead bulbs out there that also have replacement batteries but they cost more.4 stars for the value but the lead is kind of a nasty touch and really you need a spare because you have no way of knowing how long it will last.
