Could this foam be used for replacement couch cushions?

I used it to replace the seat cushions on a couch. Worked great. In terms of back cushions, it depends on the couch. Just make sure it isn't too thick. The rest may be tmi, but it may help. The foam should be one inch bigger than the measurement from edge seam to edge seam. For example my couch cushions were 22in long by 23in wide by 5in deep so I cut the foam inton23in long by 24in wide by 6in deep squares.

Would not the 5 inch thick foam need to be more dense than the 3 inch foam, to be able to have the same compression rate?

No, density is the life span of the foam while compression rating/ILD is the firmness or softness. When a foam has a density level its per cubic foot so a 3 inch and 5 inch can have the same density level and have the same firmness level

I need 4 pieces but height need to be 12” not 6” would be Able to make them?

Dear Buyer. We are able to cut 12 inch foams but not in the 72 inch length. These units are compressed in a box and compressing a 12 inch foam with that length will ruin the compression rating making it soft. You can always glue 2 pieces together with upholstery glue which will make it almost impossible to seperate

What type of glue can I use with it?

Dear Buyer, You can use 3m adhesive glue spray to glue 2 pieces together. If you would like a 1 piece unit please message us and we can direct you to our listing. Thank You

Perfect for cushion inserts!

Bought this in the 3 inch thickness to make our own cushion inserts for a banquette dining seat, and it worked perfectly for our DIY project! The cushion is very comfortable to sit on—you definitely don’t feel the hard wood underneath it. It feels like great quality and was easy to cut down to the exact size we needed. The material is white and very soft to the touch. Overall, I’m really happy with how it turned out and would definitely recommend it for anyone making their own seat cushions or working on a similar DIY project.

Nice firmness

I purchased this for my recliner which is in good shape but has become increasingly uncomfortable to sit on. This is a nice, semi firm foam. I cover it with a white cotton that will be permanent. After covering the foam I made a washable cover and put it on the foam. I’m quite happy with the results. This foam is flexible enough that my recliner can move into all of its different positions. It was quite easy to roll up and move when I needed to carry it to my chair. This foam has really helped with my comfort.! I recommend this foam for extending the life of tired furniture.
