Decent quality out of the box but there are a few upgrades I would call necessary. A Sportster is the heaviest bike I would put on this lift. I have been having issues with the rear of the lift spreading apart with larger bikes. In hindsight I should have spent more on a better lift because it's arguable worse than my Harbor Freight lift but with the convenience of pneumatic.
