Great Travel Cooling Wallet for Growth Hormone
Excellent Cooling Wallet! We use it to keep growth hormone at refrigerator temperature while traveling or out and about. The longest we have used it is 5 hours with an outside temperature of about 100*. The internal cooling pouches were still solid, although they did not feel quite as firm as they did when I first took it out of the freezer The medication was definitely still refrigerator-cold and likely would have been for several more hours. This wallet does exactly what I need!So why not 5 stars?-the growth hormone pen fits perfectly in the pen slots, but the cartridges fall right out of the cartridge/vial holders. Those need a better design.(I make it work by not usually needing a second cartridge with me and when I do, I just put it up in the zippered compartments)-Pen needles don't fit well - Yes, they officially fit in the zippered part, but they don't fit well and the stress makes it appear like the mesh will tear. I have no desire for it to tear, so no pen needles in here for us. I just pack a ziptop baggie with pen needles, alcohol swabs, and bandaids. (Yes, my kid is still at the "I-need-a-bandaid-every-time-I-get-a-shot" stage) and throw it inside the outer bag that comes with the Cooling Wallet. It would be nice if there was an outside pocket that fit those things.-the outer bag is beginning to fall apart. We've had the wallet for 2.5 months. It lives in the freezer and is taken out and used about 1x per week. If we go somewhere on the weekend, that number can go as high as 3x. The outer bag isn't fully shredded yet, but i don't expect it to last much longer. That is disappointing. I had originally expected it to last at least a year if not longer under the type of use a diabetic would put it to, which is much more frequent than our use (since our shot is only a 1x daily shot and we can arrange our lives to give the shot at home MOST of the time).Overall - Awesome Cooling Features. Does its cooling job superbly. Some of the accessories and internals need some work to make it perfect. However, as is, it will still do the job and do it well. It will keep your medications cold when you are out and about.

Perfect for bringing Insulin on the airplane.
I had no problem bringing this on the airplane with my insulin. I traveled from the US to UK to Ireland and back and never had a problem bringing it on the plane with me. It freezes solid and feels more like it has metal plates in it than ice. The TSA did not question it at all. When I got to a hotel I would just ask the front desk to put it in the freezer and then I'd put my insulin in the room fridge or in a bucket of ice in my room. It lasts all day packed in my suitcase. I had a digital thermometer with it and it always kept my insulin plenty cool. Neither the inside nor the outside gets wet or damp. It was large enough for a months supply of insulin pens and vials. Its sturdy and very well made. I expect to be using it for many years. I have used it for several day trips as well. It has replaced the insulated lunch bag with ice packs that was my previous go-to case. I have many different insulin cooler cases and this one is by far my favorite. I have tried the Frio cases too and they do seem to maintain room temperature when it gets hot, but they are probably best suited for travel where you will not have access to a freezer. For standard tourist travel, this Fridge to Go case is the best.

Something to beware of...
The item seemed to function well, enough, but, after one day of usage, the drawstring carry bag that comes with the item ripped and tore! 😧 I'd purchased the item early, for vacation usage, so, by the time the tear happened -- again, on the first day of actual usage-- tge return window to Amazon.com had already closed. 😖 So, users should be aware that the drawstring carry bag is not sturdy, nor tear-resistant. As to HOW the tear happened...I really don't know! I know that it got "stuck" to the bottom of the freezer, overnight, while I was refreshing it. My assumption is that it developed a small tear while I was pulling it loose, and I guess that tear just "grew."

Include ice pack
We like this product but can only use it in the winter due to not being able to find an ice pack that fits! I wish that you would include an ice pack to avoid this issue.

Sounds way better than it really is - skip it, don't buy.
I thought this product sounds great for keeping my insulin cool on extended trips, so I bought this larger model as well as the smaller single model. The first time I used it, was for a short overnight trip, that I didn't really need to worry about but I was excited to use the product and see how it worked, I followed instructions and place the cooler in the freezer 24 hours before. In the morning when I got up, I pulled it from the freezer, placed my insulin in it and put it in my suitcase. Put the suitcase in my car. 8 hours later when I arrived at my destination and pulled it out, I thought I must have been doing it wrong. insulin wasn't even cool to the touch. Room temp. So I decided I needed a more scientific approach with actual temps and a way to monitor it remotely. I purchased a temp sensor and tried the process a second time, same as before, except I let it freeze for over a week, I placed the temp sensor in with my insulin and this time i put it n my carry on bag and keep it in a temp controlled room at 65F the entire time. Here's the data that was recorded on the internal temp of this item.Every 1 hour Temp_Fahrenheit6/10/18 10:00 - 2.76/10/18 11:00 - 30.26/10/18 12:00 - 33.26/10/18 13:00 - 33.56/10/18 14:00 - 33.76/10/18 15:00 - 33.86/10/18 16:00 - 34.16/10/18 17:00 - 34.56/10/18 18:00 - 35.46/10/18 19:00 - 37.16/10/18 20:00 - 39.86/10/18 21:00 - 42.86/10/18 22:00 - 466/10/18 23:00 - 51.46/11/18 0:00 - 54.86/11/18 1:00 - 576/11/18 2:00 - 58.76/11/18 3:00 - 59.96/11/18 4:00 - 60.96/11/18 5:00 - 61.56/11/18 6:00 - 61.96/11/18 7:00 - 62.26/11/18 8:00 - 62.66/11/18 9:00 - 62.96/11/18 10:00 - 63You can see exactly how long it kept my insulin cool - Barely 10 hours until I would consider it not refrigerated (<40)Might as well not bother with the hassle just to gain 10 hours of refrigeration.I waited too long, and can't return this, but I definitely not recommend unless 8 hours is all you need.--------------------**NOTE** Manufacturer stands behind their product!! After seeing this review and knowing I wasn't happy they issues a full refund!
