## Description

Although widely known as a luxury car maker, Mercedes-Benz has also produced an array of history-making motor sports cars. One of the most memorable is the 300 SLR, which won the Italian Mille Miglia endurance race, and followed this with additional wins to decisively dominate the 1955 racing season. The SLR legend made a comeback in 2003, when the Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren debuted at the Frankfurt Motor Show. With its slick styling, lightweight carbon-fiber monocoque body, and powerful supercharged 5. 5 liter V8 engine, the SLR is equally at home at the track or on the streets, and is the quintessential next generation premium sports car. ??Requires paint and assembly.

Review: Loads of fun! - This kit is a great one to build. I've had other kit with opening doors and hood that didn't work or fit as well as this Tamiya kit did. This car model has a lot of great detail from front to back and inside and out. The price is very good considering the engineering that was put into this car kit. I had a blast putting this kit together because every part just fell into place. This kit has a full metal chassis giving a a solid hefty feel to it. Overall I'm completely satisfied with this McLaren Mercedes SLR kit. One more neat feature it that the doors have a storage area for the door support rods. Happy building!
Review: SLR kit is a must have! - Awesome kit. The top notch Tamiya model company has outdone themselves. Beautiful detail and great engineering- like the real thing (only smaller and cheaper 😉) Must have for Tamiya or Mercedes fans. Great price and usual desertcart safe fast shipping.
