Corner joint - caulk around tub 1st, let dry, then do vertical wall seams overlapping horizontal tub seam? Isn't it bad to join cured and new caulk?

There's a brilliant YouTube video that showed a 2 step method I've used very successfully. Also disproves a lot of common practices for caulking/silicone with clear explanations and science as to why we shouldn't use them. Totally changed how I caulk seams ans the difference is vast. Hi should the guides be flush with the edge your using. Mines 1/3mm proud so sealant leaks out

It is much better is you watch the YouTube. One of the Charlie DIYte ones were really useful. Essentially you find the smallest tool to cover the gap. Ensure the silicone covers and then slide along with the flat side. It does take a little getting used to, but does give a good finish. There is a lot of waste of silicone I found.
