The 3/4 inch of "usable depth" is an exaggeration. Could not display a folded American flag plus a few other memorabilia items. I bought it months ago and made the mistake of not opening it until today when I finally had the time to work on my project. So very disappointed. This "shadow box" is little more than a glorified picture frame and totally useless to me. The wood frame is OK but certainly not high quality. The backing is very flimsy. I didn't expect a very high quality for the price but the poor quality still surprised me. I am again on the hunt for a shadow box that will accommodate my father-n-law's military flag.

Overall the whole frame/case is nice and I highly appreciated the acid free backing on the inside as I used the box to frame my wedding dress and veil. I also likes how the hardware came separately so I could decide how I wanted to hang it.That being said, I wish the backing was more secure. Even with all the metal pieces that push down to hold it, it still feels wobbly in some parts and feels like it might come loose. Because of that I ended up getting black duct tape and taping it secure in the back.My other issue was that the side inside backings came off and were not secure at all. Seemed like they were just taped in with poor adhesive so while I was trying to put everything into the case, the sides kept coming off. I ended up just getting a glue gun and gluing them in place.It does look very nice though and was able to fit my wedding dress in it so I'm happy. And for the price, it's great as othet cases are way more expensive and don't include the acid free backing or the UV glass.

Bought this to use as a pet memorial for my first dog. It fit her blanket and collar with tag in it. It is larger than other shadow boxes of this type which was perfect for what I needed. Overall I am very pleased with this product!

this is not what I expected, it isn't a true shadow, just somewhat heavy paper and the frame

The best part of this item is the shipping packaging. It is well packaged and protected, why I do not understand. Because, this is nothing more than a bad picture frame. The backing is paper. Cardboard would be better than the backing this comes with. The only thing you could put into this would need to be very light and taped or glued to the paper backing. Did I mention the backing is paper. I had to purchase a proper backing and cut to size to make this useful. Something I shouldn't have had to do for the price paid. Smaller sizes may be different; I ordered the 13 x 40. I normally don't complain, but this was not a good item. Next complaint. The inside white edge around the frame is cut poster board pushed into sides. Very cheap. The poster board would be better as the backing. And did I note the very thin clear plasic protective screen?Very cheap, packaging has the BIG words GLASS on it. Not glass, very thin plastic. This item resembles a frame you would find at a $1 store. Save your money and your frustration. Very disappointed. The one star is for the packaging.

My mom bought these items for my grandson but never sent them and she died shortly later. My dad sent them and I wanted keep them together for him. I was happy to see this window box in a large size. My only concern is the back board. It's not very thick or sturdy. I'm hoping it holds up through the years. Time will tell. The rest of the frame and glass are very nice.

I got this for my daughter's high school graduation stuff. Works perfectly!

Very flimsy, inexpensive material. Does not look as advertised. Thin frame not deep enough, thus limiting what items can be inserted.It’s been 6-weeks since my return and no REFUND has been posted!!!
