Yes, two pedals, one right side and one left side.

Are these durable pedals? I am concerned with the distance from the cramk arm to the oedal .

They are extremely durable. The bearings are amazing and far better than any other pedal of this type that I have used. As for the crank arms, they seem very standard. If they were closer, shoes would rub the crank arms. They are not a huge pedal compared to many modern platform pedals.

can you use an Allen wrench to remove these pedals?

I would not - 15mm wrench is the way to go
