How sturdy is this mat? Is it very flimsy?

Somewhat sturdy, but not super thick. It is bendable. I would say it's in between flimsy and sturdy.

how thick is this mat? It says .1" in the description, that doesn't seem real.

I just measured my mat with my construction grade tape measure and even though I, like you, was skeptical of the thickness, I would have to concur with the product description of .11". The mat is quite thin but very tough; it rolls up easily but has a rough, pebbled texture. I have to say that I consider it an excellent purchase...

Would this be recommended to use on hardwood floor to jump rope?

I would think you would need something larger to keep the rope from beating the floor....

Would this work well to cover cables from wall sockets to connection in middle of room?

The mat isn't very forgiving. The material is a plastic/rubber combo. If placing on a carpeted floor it may work.
