They are a lot lighter than I thought they would be and they’re hollow so they won’t weigh your cake down. I love how each character is holding up one hand because I was able to place the balloon picks in their hands and it looked great. I purchased the balloons on desertcart as well and they’re amazing. Everyone loved this cake. These are such a great set to have in my diaper bag for emergency situations (i.e. restaurants) when I need to keep my toddler occupied. She can play with these for a very long time, and carries them around with her everywhere she goes. They are the perfect size for little hands to hold and play with. Approximately the same size as Fisher Price Little People. She loves playing with them in the bath as well, the only one that's not allowed in the bath is Oscar, since he has a small opening and I don't want water to go in and make it moldy, but otherwise they are also a great bath companion! I started buying these any time we need a small gift idea for a child between 1-3 years old.
