SharkBite 3/4 x 1 Inch FNPT Water Softener Adapter, Push To Connect Brass Plumbing Fitting, PEX Pipe, Copper, CPVC, PE-RT, HDPE, U086LFA

This is exactly what I needed and couldn't find in the hardware store. I installed a whole house water filter using SharkBite products. So much easier and cleaner than regular PVC! Very easy to install. If you mess up, they are relatively easy to take off and reinstall.

Super simple, easy install, great adaptor. Just be sure to RTFM with sharkbite and you're golden.

I used it to repair a very old copper pipe with dents. The pipe does need to be round. And, it was in an area where it was tough to sweat the pipe. So, cut off the old sweated connection, cleanup the pipe and use this adapter to connect my water heater. Very easy.

Received the product damaged, I doubt it was damaged during shipping since the package it was in had been opened already and there appeared to be some surface damage like a tool had been used on it, so my guess is it was a return. I was in a bind so I used it anyway and it doesn't leak a drop so great product, distributor maybe not so great.

I bought both male and female versions of this adapter for a water softener and it made the job way easier and quicker. I’ve used sharkbites for years and am always satisfied.

I love these type of water line connectors especially when working on old copper lines. No need to worry about water and steam contaminating you solder joints. Just clean the end of the copper line to remove any burrs and press on to the internal stop. Never had a leaker so far and have been using these for about six or seven years. Highly recommend especially for working on used copper tubing. Quick and easy.

Works perfect for my project

Simplified my water softener installation. Even though I used a plumber, he appreciated the speed, ease-of-use, and solid connection this provided, especially since the softener's bypass valve and connections were made of ABS (and can melt). He could have sweat soldered the copper pipe connections, but the work would have been more complicated. (I understand these will work with PEX as well if you use the provided plastic insert.) Plus, as an added benefit, these Sharkbites can be detached/released in the future if required.

This is not a true NPT (National Pipe Threat) standard It does not conform to the threat on the bypass connector on the whirlpool water softener. I called shark bite They admit it Sent back.

Excellent fit and quality

Ordered per plumber and was the wrong item. Item was excellent for cost however, Juniper return policy is 15% restocking fee and you must mail back the item. Maybe worth purchasing from another vendor or best Amazon direct.
