Is this a regular melatonin or rapid release?

I’m not sure.  Trying to help because I rec’d an email asking if I could answer.  I have a 14 yo Lhasa apso that is nearly blind but still good quality of life, still quite active.  I’m using this as part of an approach for treating Cushing’s syndrome-related systems he was having excessive water drinking and obsession with it to the point he couldn’t lay on the couch in the evenings and be calm.  It is working very well for him, he loves the taste.  They have a strong beef smell and he definitely eats it readily, they’re small chewable tablets.  They are sedating I was giving him a whole one twice a day but I’ve cut down to 1/2 table twice daily and he seems to be more alert now.  As far as the release, I’m not sure.  It seems to work pretty quickly, he’ll get still and relaxed and settled within thirty minutes. The directions say under 30 lbs one tablet every 12, over 30 lbs, two tablets every twelves.  I looked at the bottle it doesn’t denote anything as far as release.  If it was any type of extended though it probably would be labeled that 🤷🏻‍♂️.  Like I say, it’s pretty fast and I don’t have any issues overnight with him being restless etc.  good luck hope I could help

If it's bottled in the US where is it actually manufactured? I dont eat or let my dogs eat anything made in china.....

Question 3

Since the chewable beef flavor melatonin only comes in 1 and 3 mg, can i easily split the 3 mg?  i need 1.5 mg.

It splits, but depending on your dog's weight you may just want to give the 3mg. Our vet recommended the 3mg. for our 20 lb Mini Schnauzer and it works well.
