A review from an athlete and contact lens wearer, it works!
I am an extreme fitness person, practicing and teaching martial arts for 14 years as well as being an extreme fitness person. From cardio to weight training, fitness programs such as "P90X", "Insanity", my own workout routines, and everything in between, I'm done it all and one thing I can say is this; I hate the sweat!Unlike others I sweat like a faucet even just doing warm up exercises. It's not a bad thing; every person is different and sweating it a good thing because it means your cooling systems are working. But it also can interfere with a good workout, especially during weight training. When moving large weights around, the last thing you need to be is distracted by burning sweat in your eyes. Not just with weights, but any type of training can be distracting and bothersome when sweat gets into your eyes. I am a contact lens wearer and sweat is even worse for me because it irritates and fogs up my contacts to no end. This can be even worse if you like to use hair products (which I do, I have awful bed head and I usually use something to control it).My sweat problems got bad enough for me to finally get on Amazon one day and see what was out there. I was thinking of picking up an old fashion headband when I ran into this "halo headband". For $11~ bucks I thought what the heck, and tried it. After numerous intense cardio workouts so far, I can say that this product actually works! Most of the sweat gets wicked away as it's supposed to and for the most part, I can say that I no longer have any serious sweat problems interfering with my vision anymore. The band is comfortable and there's nothing really bad to say about it. On a side note, it is not 100% flawless (nor did I expect it to be). You are still going to sweat from the pores around your eyes and below the band, but this still stops almost all that sweat that drips down from your forehead and scalp. Also, when you do certain floor exercises (like push ups), sometimes the band drips a lot of waters and doesn't quite work as designed. With different head positionings, the band doesn't always work flawless, but 90% of the time I think I can say you will be okay wearing this band.I really like this head band and it has solved an annoying fitness problem for me. It's a very ingenious design. And I have to compliment that it does not irritate skin, either (I have sensitive skin). Versus any kind of traditional headband, I think you are going to be much better off with this product. If you're on the fence just go ahead and buy it, it's worth it! Great product and would buy again!

Keeps the sweat out of your eyes
I bought this for hiking and general outdoor activities (where I might be outside all day). I sweat horribly in any warm temperatures, and I hate the sweat poring into my eyes and burning them. I've tried bandannas, cut up nylon rags, lightweight microfiber towels, old cotton sweatbands, etc. None of them worked well, once they became saturated they became unusable to protect my eyes and face from dripping sweat. This really lived up to all the hype and advertisements it boasted, and blew everything else out of the water. There's a thin strip of rubber that goes across the front portion of this that blocks dripping sweat from your forehead and hair and redirects it to the sides of your face away from your eyes/nose/mouth. For the first time in my life I did a hike this summer and did not have to worry about constantly wiping my head, ringing out anything, and dealing with excess sweat in my eyes. Also to note: excess face sweat has made it impossible for me to wear glasses during heavy excising - however this makes it possible to once again wear them comfortably. This is truly an amazing product, I use now whenever I do anything (yard work, chopping wood, jogging, etc). The fabric itself does become saturated with sweat but it doesn't so much that it drips down afterwards, I believe the combination of the wicking fabric and the rubber strip to redirect it, makes it usable for a good 8+hr activity without issue.

Goodbye, sweat eye!
Is there anything more annoying than sunscreen-infused sweat running into your eyes? That mixture of sweat and sunscreen, one of the most obnoxious things ever -- especially when you have to take off glasses to deal with it.I didn't have super-high hopes when I got this headband, but I thought it would be worth a try. The first time I put it on, it felt kind of awkward. It didn't hurt, but I was very aware of it. But instead of having to wipe my forehead off every few seconds, I didn't have to wipe it off at all . . . on a run of more than an hour. I tried it yesterday on an almost--two hour run. I didn't have to deal with sweat in my eyes or mopping off my forehead once! The band is absorbent, but it's the rubberized sweat diverter that really makes the difference. I still had some sweat run down my face from my hairline, but none of it was close to my eyes. So far I've been tossing it in the washer in a delicates bag every few days and then letting it air dry. You can also wash it out easily in the sink. It's taken care of one of the most irritating parts of running. I'd accepted sweat in the eyes as an inevitable annoyance, but this was an easy fix! Now if only Halo could invent something to help me deal with my nose running during every winter race . . .

Keeps hair out of face too!
I sweat heavily so something that keeps the sweat out of my face was a priority to find. Mission accomplished! I was concerned the elastic would be uncomfortable or bothersome, but I don't notice it at all, ever. Sometimes a bead or two of sweat might trickle down the side of my face at my temples, but that's something I can deal with; the band is completely saturated every time I take it off, but sweat never, ever drips down my face! I love the material. It works so much better than materials other sweatbands are made out of and it looks 100% better too. What's not to love about something that works well and looks good too?

Does What It's Meant To Do
I run several 3 times a week and do HIIT 2-3 days a week. I would consider myself a heavy sweater. Nothing bothers me more than sweat running into my eyes. All other thin bands that I have tried in the past slip off my head while I'm running. I LOVED these bands. They are the perfect tightness (for me). They don't slip at all, but you don't feel like you have something hugging your head either. The best part is, they are great at keeping the sweat from running in my eyes. Ordered one to try it out & ended up ordering several more!

Dont' buy it. It does not work.
I bought this headband mislead by the reviews it has on Amazon. Read the negative reviews, they are very true!

Not what I was expecting
If you have a small head then this band may not fit as it runs quite large. It has a rubber piece on the inside to help prevent slipping but if your head is too small it won't...

Not for forehead sweaters
It seems like this sweat band would work well for someone who perspires on top of their head as it is designed to divert water rather than absorb.

I bought 4 of these hoping for a solution
These don't work any better than any other headband for us HEAVY SWEATERS. I sweat buckets and was hoping this would stop sweat from getting into my eyes and they work OK.

no sweat into your eyes
It really does stop the sweat from running into your eyes and this headband does not move around unlike the others that cost way more.
