Perfect. Easy to hold, easy to use
I dug out my old HO train set for the kids to play with. The brass track were oxidized, and I did a little research on what was the best way to clean them off and get them shiny again. One website recommended these 3M sanding sponges so I got one. It's perfect. Cleaned those tracks up perfectly, they look like new and the train is running again. The sponge is soft and easy to hold. My girls helped clean the tracks and were taking turns doing it. All in all I'm very happy with this.

Great Sanding sponge
I've used these both to smooth between coats of urethane and to break the gloss on final coats and they work great. Very fast consistent smoothing/dulling plus they last a long time and can even be washed out when they get loaded with dust. Cost a bit more than some other brands but work better and last longer in my experience.

Works great for small projects
3M is a fantastic company and makes high quality products. However, after frequent use the sponge does start to chip apart. Sometimes I'm sanding drywall or wood and the sponge becomes null or eventually the paper around it breaks off. I wish it was like a true sponge and the entire object could be utilized for sanding. Overall, It works great for small projects or finishes. Easy to use and somewhat durable.

Great to repair stainless steel scratches
Used it to fix an idiot scratch on a 1911 pistol. Worked great if you go with the grain of the finish on the steel

Great sanding sponge!
Durable and just the right amount of flexibility. Easy to handle while sanding and clears itself of particles very well. My first choice.

This is a flexible sanding pad. It is not a rigid, "block-shaped" sponge. It works very well.
This is not your typical "block" sanding sponge. It's more like a pad. It's is about one-quarter inch thick and it is very flexible. If you need to sand something that has a cylindrical shape or has many curves, this pad is perfect. This particular item is rather coarse and it sands quickly.

I love the sanding blocks
I love the sanding blocks, I am redoing a vintage camper and there are so many small corners and difficult to reach places on the interior wood. This has helped me immensely. I have also used it to Sandown the outside of the trailer to prepare it for exterior painting. By several, you'll need them
