## Description

Review: Delicious, delicious, delicious - These taste great! I grew up eating arare (rice crackers) so I consider myself somewhat of a rice cracker snob. I would always want the pieces that were the darkest, they were either toasted the most or had the most soy sauce on them, either way they had the best flavor. If you are the kind of person that likes the browned bits of rice that sits in the bottom of your rice cooker then you know what I mean. These crackers are nice and dark, full of flavor and very crispy. So many of the rice crackers you see in stores today are pale and don't look too appetizing. I was somewhat cautious about ordering these rice crackers since they were made in Taiwan and in my opinion the best ones come from Japan. However these are absolutely delicious. I read that some people have had issues with broken pieces (NOT ME) or the price (about $12.00 per pound). An 8 ounce package of rice crackers locally sells for $5.00-5.50, That's $10-11 per pound for much inferior rice crackers. These are not cheap but well worth the price. I won't be buying them every week, but maybe once a month????
Review: My go to brand for mochi crunch - This is one of the best mochi crunch brand there is. I've tried many different brands and as far as the taste goes. This is one of the best. For one, it doesn't taste too salty like some other arare. I also like the convenience of having to purchase this myself with free prime shipping (with membership). The fact that I don't have to bother my friends or relatives there. Just get this myself. It's an expensive product, but, 2 lbs, 6 oz, that's alot of mochi crunch in one bottle. I don't know of any other company that does that. I think is because they have such a great product that people are willing to pay for a full bottle of arare. Besides the point, I could continue to make my furikake mochi crunch butter popcorn (similar to hurricane popcorn). Just as tasty but, better flavor.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: why is jar more expensive then the bag when they are both same net weight?**
A: The jars simply cost more to purchase, and thats probably because jars cost more to make than the bags and they protect the crackers better. Also if this is for a gift, it presents much nicer. The jar version is very popular during the holiday season.

**Q: List of ingredients, please.**
A: The Tomoe Brand Mix Arare includes the following ingredients: rice, soy sauce (water, soybeans, wheat salt, sugar), sesame seeds, laver (thin sheets of seaweed). Mahalo,Denise (silver066)

**Q: The photo of the 38oz bag shows msg as an ingredient but the plastic tub does not. Are the tub and bag versions actually different?**
A: The company emailed me and said all of their arare contains msg

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Wonderful arare!
*by E***2 on May 8, 2013*

Finally, I can buy my own arare without asking relatives in Hawaii to send it to me here in the Midwest. My order arrived promptly and the arare was fresh both times that I ordered it. It is a bit expensive but when you consider buying it in the individual bags, the price isn't too bad. If it's shipped from Hawaii, that's even better! I like this brand of arare. It has a nice flavor and is very crunchy. There is seaweed or nori in the crackers but not alot. Anyway I hope this seller stays on Amazon for a long time so that I can continue to get my awesome supply of my favorite rice crackers. No more mooching and begging the relatives to send me some!
