I took the equivalent of 4 garlic bulbs a day, split up into 2 doses. i had a gum infection (gingivitis), basically an abscess that starts in the gum vs the tooth. It was even swollen inside my mouth making it hard to talk normally. I was prescribed clindamycin by my doc and didn't really want to take it. I didn't expect garlic to work, but day 2 the swelling was down by half. Another day swelling was down to a marble. on day 4 i couldn't really feel it any more. I am still taking it as if it were a prescription antibiotic. At least 10 days 2x/day. So far so good. I actually own this product as well but didn't think to try it. **Q: So this is not an oil, right?** A: It is an oil. You can consume it. It's blended with some sweet fruit and I think stevia leaf instead of sugar. It tastes pretty good. I jusy received it yesterday, so I can't write a review yet. China used this supplement to make their Alzheimer's drug, 2 years ago. I bought it to experiment on my mother's Alzheimer's. It does have a potent odor, but it works. And it works well. This stuff is very good for an infection. I had another UTI that came up a month ago. I did NOT want to go back to the doctor and take another dose of ciproflaxin. The antibiotics work, but it doesn't cure the problem. In retrospect, if I would have used this for a gum infection instead of letting it go, I might have saved the tooth from extraction. For one week I used 1 dropper full of this garlic oil and 3 drops of their oregano oil in a 5 ounce Dixie cup topped off with distilled water. Didn't taste the greatest, but it wasn't terrible. In one week the infection went away and I've been symptom free ever since. I really like Herb Pharm's products.
