In the last 5 years the car has received a couple coats of lanoguard so car wasn't too bad underneath to begin with, but subframes and few suspension linkages were looking a bit tatty so this time around i thought I'd try something different! I used a drill to wire wheel the worst bits off where engine tray has encouraged rust over time with the view of applying this then painting with hammerite after drying period. HOWEVER, i was more than happy with the reaction and how it looked once applied and left to dry. As a result i decided not to bother coating with paint and potentially making the rust worse in the long run. With MOT due in the next month I also decided I would rather it look genuine and tidy than looking like it had been painted to hide issues Again whilst at it i coated a lot of other areas as a bit of a future guard. It dries to a good sheen whilst leaving a protective coat so happy with result. I put a liberal/ 2 coats on most areas so in the end i used 2 tins exactly. Being an aerosol i also found it easier to apply than lanoguard and wasted less product as it was more controlled application. Hope this helps future buyers! Review: spray or brush on. excellent product. - Really happy with this product, costs a bit more than some alternatives but its worth it. once i had sanded off my surface rust on my cars underside i applied this and in a short time it killed the rust and turned it black . A few months later and still looking good. although its a spray you can spray a bit into the cap and brush it on if you don't want the spray to go where not required onto rubbers etc. I do this and works great. overall its worth the extra and does a really good job. ## Features - Causes serious eye damage. - Causes skin irritation. - Extremely flammable aerosol. - May be fatal if swallowed and enters airways. - May cause an allergic skin reaction. - May cause damage to organs through prolonged or repeated exposure. - May cause drowsiness or dizziness. - May cause respiratory irritation. - Pressurised container: May burst if heated. - RUST CONVERTER SPRAY: Rust treatment for metal surfaces, quickly and effortlessly converts rust into a stable surface, ready for painting.
