Easy way to can a a mic on a Mac

Mac mini M4 に接続して使ってみたところ、入力音量を下げても入力レベルが反応します。ChatGPTで音声によるやりとりをしたかったのですが、ChatGPTの出力をひろってしまうのでうまくやりとりすることができません。入力感度を下げる処置をいくつか試してみますが、少なくともデフォルトのままでは使えそうもありません。
