Electric version is a major improvement.
Much prefer this electric version over a sterno dish. It has one major flaw. The lid has no means of attaching on the backside, so it easily pulls forward when closing. An easy fix I discovered was to use metal paper clamps on the backside of the lid which secured it to the stainless steel base. This would not be a difficult fix for the manufacturer. If you purchase one of these, pay special attention to how it is assembled in the box. It took me a very long time to figure out how to put it all back together for storage.
