The base range on the 2 is superior, but they both sound great. Orig is water ‘resistant’ where the 2 is ‘water proof’. I think the 2 is slightly larger and more expensive. **Q: Can the JBL Xtreme 2 Portable Waterproof Wireless Bluetooth Speaker be used in pairs?** A: The Extreme 2 can only be paired with other JBL with CONNECT+ technology. **Q: While charging will this work** A: Yes! **Q: Where can i get a silicone case for the extreme 2?
