Spectracide 95852 Terminate Termite Detection Killing Stakes, 15 Count

For years we had swarms of termites that would come out on early hot spring and fall days. I tried to spray when I saw them. But probably only kill 5%. They say kill the queen and household or you do no real damage. Well I bought the kit and put 1 or 2 spikes in each of the 3 locations where I would normally have seen the swarms. Since I put them in in March, not ONE termite has been seen….AND I’ve had to replace each of the stakes at least once which means they are eating the poison. Awesome investment. Just read the directions and be amazed.

This product should not be the only action you take to learn where termites are and to kill as many nests as possible. But these stakes will let you know the areas in which they are active so if you have to call a professional you will know where he should focus. After my really good exterminator retired, I've been able to keep the critters from eating me out of house and home with these stakes, and I know exactly where they are active and what areas have no trace of termites.

This was listed as a kit; however, I was sent 3 boxes of 5 stakes each with no auger. Everything I read says an auger is included. ***problem resolved***

I have a tree in my yard that is full of termites. before removing the tree I put these around my house. All of the one closest to where the tree was have popped up flags. Very pleased!

I have to keep replacing them, b/c they continue to pop out. When I take it out of the ground, the insert is in tact. Unfortunately, it appears that the build-up of moisture causes it to pop for no reason. I would not buy again. Also, tried contacting customer service three times. You cannot speak to a live person and after several minutes of being on hold, they disconnect the call. I am not impressed.

Haven't seen any termites since I started using this product several years ago. I had been buying it at Lowe's, but they hadn't had any on their shelf at any store I went to since August, so glad I found it on Amazon.

All the fuss about water and moisture in the ground etc is nonsense. I have a backyard where there are termite tubes everywhere including on some plants. The ground is moist in various parts and is dry in other areas, I have had about 12 stakes in the ground for about a week but no issues with the red sticks sticking out, I just hope it does what it is supposed to do.I will updated my rating for the product when I see evidence of it working or not working so I can only give 3 stars as I am hoping it will work.

Been using these and actually found live termite infestation within feet of where I've been putting these stakes for over a year. Luckily I found them early enough were the damage does not have to be fixed, but had to bite the bullet and ditch the cheap DIY and pay professionals to treat the home so I can sleep at night.
