Works fine
I tried it on my E-bike. I ride no-handed. Put them on the normal bike. Felt like I was going to fall off backwards no-handed on the E-bike

Worked good until it broke!
It helps with road bumps. I used it on a e-bike for street riding (about 20 rides). It worked well until it broke on a simple ride, not sure why unless was defective, I only weigh around 170lbs. I am hopeful it will be replaced by the seller as I would like to give it more stars.

Nifty little adapter
I purchased this as an adapter to shift my seat backward over my seat post a couple of inches. For that purpose it worked great and saved me the headache of finding a compatible layback type post that worked with my current cruiser type bike seat. Prior to installation of this adapter, my seat sat too far forward, placing too much pressure on my knees. With the seat mounted in the nearly all the way back position, I will say there is a significant amount of spring in the seat now when I hit a bump (I weigh 125 lbs). I don't mind at all because this is an electric road bike, but for anyone going off road or riding on extremely bumpy surfaces it might be too springy. One way to address this would of course be to mount the seat just at the half way point, or closer to the bend in the frame. Others mentioned there is no stop at the end of the frame, and that is true. You will need to be certain your seat is screwed VERY tightly to the frame, or the seat will jolt backward off the frame when you hit a bump. This happened while I was testing the seat position, and I hadn't tightned things down well. A mistake I will not make while I am actually on the road!

May not be good on Trek bike with seat mast instead of seat post
I got this for my Trek Checkpoint SL5 gravel bike which has no suspension. It would be a wonderful addition if my bike did not have a seat mast instead of a seat post. I normally ride with my seats 36 inches from the pedal. Once this suspension spring was mounted, I could only lower the seat mast to a point that the distance from the top of the seat to the pedal is 37 inches. There is NO WAY to lower the saddle any further. So be careful about using this product on a bicycle that uses a seat mast instead of a seat post. If you normally ride with your seat 37 inches from the pedal or higher, you will love this suspension spring!

Works perfectly
I just installed this shock absorber and it works perfectly. To test I ran it directly from the sidewalk off the curb and on to the street and never stood up on my pedals. No pain on my backside whatsoever. You will have to get used to a bouncy feeling going over large bumps but that is much better than pain in my coccyx while riding my no rear suspension mountain bike. Was very easy to install. You will need Allen wrenches but other than that it was a 10 minute install. At 160Lbs. I adjusted to the springiest setting but may stiffen it as it was a bit bouncy. The construction of the material is excellent, the fit onto the bicycle seat post was perfect. Remember when installing to squeeze the springs slightly inward to sit in the grooves while tightening. It will add 3 to 4 inches of height so remember to lower your seat accordingly. Problem solved with a low price.

My rear end say Thank you!
I was skeptical, because I read a review about it coming off during the ride...... well No offense to that person, but mine has not moved a millimeter. I installed it myself, with the elbow-grease of a woman in her early fifties! Make sure to tighten the screws as hard as you can and enjoy the ride. Like many Americans during COVID, I decided to take up biking again and this shock absorber has made it very easy on my lower back and rear. Now I can ride daily, even with low back pain. I would say it has reduced the shock impact for me by 80% and I ride mountain trails and roads.

I love this thing!!!
Originally bought this to adjust my seat position back a little posterior to the seatpost. I figured the shock absorption couldn't hurt either. And then the first time I rode it..... I wasn't too sure about the movement of the seat. It was a bit wiggly! But I could feel muscles in my pelvis I wasn't used to feeling work. It took a few minutes for those muscles to warm up, but once they did, I realized I was using my muscles in a more natural and integrated way. No one I know has ever seen one of these before though, and I hope this device stays in the marketplace. Maybe I should buy a few to keep for future bikes.

Nice bounce
I have a very bony little butt and find riding on even slightly bumpy roads irritating- even on seats designed for extra cushion. This adapter does a good job of smoothing things out, though I still stand on the pedals to take some of the biggest bumps. Installation can be a little bit fiddly- just make sure you get the seat clamp reinstalled correctly so that the textured side of the washers can grip when you tighten the nuts.
