Plumb PakPP826-64 Bathtub Dome Grid Strainer with Screw, 3", Polished Chrome

The tub drain cap was rusting from some kind of chemical cleaner and I needed to replace it.This proved to be the exact same thing, a perfect fit and it works fine.If only all fixes could be so easy.

Bought to replace a older drain strainer that had worn and was beginning to rust. (In the old days it would have been chrome over brass- no rust) - not sure how this will hold up over time, but right now a decent replacement. Hopefully, it's chrome over brass, but everything is so cheaply made nowadays - we'll see.

Needed a 3 inch drain cover. Could not find one in the big box stores. Ordered 2 of these 3 inch drain covers from Amazon. They look good and fit perfect. The only issue I had was one of the covers fell out of the package and was loose in the Amazon packaging. I had other items ordered in the same package and the cover got bent. I notified Amazon and a replacement was sent, and I didn’t have to return the bent one.

I love that this keeps the hair out of the pipes and doesn't block the water. Super easy to clean and super easy to install. Unfortunately I have a 65 yr old house and the screw that comes with it is way too small. To find the screw i need has Proven difficult and the hole in the unit would have to be made larger. I just placed the unit in with the screw dangling to keep it in place. So far that has been good enough.

I do not like shape. It is not level with the drain.

Product was to replace cover in bathtub. Product is good but needed a thicker screw. Only 1 size screw was provided.
