The GRANDCORE 6 Pack 1 Inch Chip Paint Brushes are pretty much what you'd expect for a chip brush. These are pretty much one time use items that are basically made to be disposable for use on lower end projects, and for that they're perfectly adequate. The biggest concern is are they gonna fall apart out of the bag, these passed that test. On all six brushes, only two or three bristles came out on each brush after a few flicks and light tugs on the bristles so that was a relief. On further inspection, the bristles were in pretty good shape overall, each brush had a few bristles that were kinda scraggly but that's par for the course with a chip brush and I snipped those off. The overall condition, fullness, bristle count and shape of the brushes are on par with what you'd expect in a chip brush. The wood handles are visibly pretty low quality, dinged a bit, rough on the sanding and they had knot streaks throughout. It's very low grade pine with a nice pine smell, and a bit cheaper feel than box store quality which is pretty cheap to begin with. But again, the brushes work fine for the money, the handles cosmetic quality doesn't change the usability of them, so no complaints overall. As long as the bristles aren't coming out and arrive in good shape, which they did, they're good to go for my needs. They live up to the low shedding claim.

These are just like the major retailer "chip" brushes for painting and staining. They are great for single-use paint and stain jobs, where it isn't that important that there is no bristle shedding. These aren't pristinely cut or reusable multiple times, but they are awesome for getting in small spaces with slop paint to fill a corner. With a little care about how you dip into paint as well, it can be excellent for dragging a clean edge instead of masking off an area you don't want paint on. This set will get you through a house room paint job in total, maybe even two. If you wrap them in a baggie or cellophane overnight, you can reuse one the next day for the same color. In short, you'll get decent use out of them a few times if you're caring, and they're also disposable with no heartache if you don't want to be that careful. They are comfy to hold and don't over-absorb paint. What you take on the brush goes onto the surface without hoarding.
