This is a useful assortment of guard sizes, and the attachments snap securely onto my Wahl T-blade trimmer without requiring any tools. The plastic feels sturdy enough for regular home use, and having eight sizes in one inexpensive set makes it easy to switch between beard lengths and detail work. My main issue is that these guards seem to leave my hair noticeably shorter than comparable attachments labeled with the same measurements. I had to adjust my usual guard choice and move up a size to get closer to the length I expected. Once I accounted for that difference, they produced a reasonably even trim and stayed firmly attached. Overall, this is a good-value replacement set with plenty of sizing options, but I recommend testing a longer guard first rather than relying entirely on the printed measurements.

Did not fit my t blade babyliss

Width is correct but length falls short. Tested on both Andis and RED trimmers only to find out these aren’t long enough for either. Fits the T blade great but I don’t want to break them.

I've been using my Wahl 9818 trimmer for a while now, but I always felt stuck between the limited guards it originally came with. I needed a wider variety of lengths to properly blend my beard and fade my sideburns at home, so I picked up this aftermarket 8-piece set. Visually, they look identical to original equipment, and they completely solve the gap in my grooming routine by offering a full spectrum from a stubbly 1/16" right up to a longer 1/2". The performance transition was flawless. They snap directly onto the 40mm T-blade with a very secure, tight click, ensuring the guard doesn't slide around or vibrate loose while you’re mid-shave. The plastic teeth are smoothly rounded, so they glide over skin without any scratching or pulling. Having those micro-steps like the 3/16" and 5/16" sizes has made blending lines vastly easier, giving me a much cleaner, barber-shop quality look right at my bathroom sink. However, the build quality tells a slightly different story when it comes to the smaller sizes. While the larger guards have plenty of structural plastic, the tiny clips on the 1/16" and 1/8" versions feel brittle. If you press too hard on the back tab while prying them off the metal blade, the plastic stresses easily—I actually cracked a retaining clip on the smallest one just by being a little too hasty during cleanup. You really have to roll them off the blade gently rather than snapping them off aggressively. Another real-world quirk is identifying them on the fly. Because the size numbers are just raised plastic moldings of the same color, they become practically invisible the second they get coated in fine hair clippings. I constantly find myself blowing off the guards or holding them up to the bathroom light just to verify which length I’m holding. Would I buy them next time? Yes, simply because finding a set that fits the Wahl T-blade this perfectly without rattling is rare. But I've definitely learned to slow down and treat the smaller combs with a bit more care. Great for money.
