Another Home-Run from Godox. Build quality is excellent, as is the performance. Flawless on my Sony A1 and A7cii. Battery can be charged via USB which is very helpful and charges pretty quickly.

This flash delivers strong, consistent lighting and feels like a premium piece of kit. The round head design gives a softer, more natural light compared to traditional flashes, which makes a noticeable difference in photos. It works best when paired with TTL settings for quick shooting, especially in changing lighting conditions. The battery life is impressive, and the touchscreen controls make adjustments easy. It’s a solid choice for both hobbyists and more serious photography.

Overall excellent, near same functionality as the original V1 in slightly smaller and lighter package. Docking 1 star as they seem to have cut costs on the case - cheaper materials and annoyingly NO BELT LOOP, would it really have cost much more to keep the belt loop like the V1?? If you have a V1 case the V1Mid will fit in with the dome diffuser attached which is handy - on a belt loop!

This flash from Godox has a great quality feel to it as I have come to expect from the brand. Everything feels solid and well constructed so I have no concerns regarding durability. This flash comes with a proprietary but removable rechargeable battery which seems a good middle ground vs AA's or a built in battery, as you can have the best of both worlds. If you are a light user then you're sorted from the get go, but heavy users can simply purchase a second (or more) battery for quick swapping out on long shoots. The touch screen is a nice addition allowing for intuitive adjustment of settings without a plethora of buttons. This flash is compatible with a wide range of Nikon cameras and supports TTL and HSS. This flash also functions with Godox's 2.4GHz X wireless system meaning it can trigger other flashes - or be triggered - remotely as part of a wider lighting system, which works very well. This is a proprietary system however so if you wish to use this function it locks you in to Godox products only. Given the power and functionality on offer this is actually a relatively compact flash, and will fit easily in most camera bags. Priced at £175 at time of review this feels fair.

Ho acquistato il Godox V1 MID S per Sony per avere un flash compatto ma davvero utilizzabile sul campo, senza dover rinunciare a qualità della luce e rapidità operativa. Dopo diversi utilizzi posso dire che è un prodotto molto ben riuscito: la testa rotonda fa davvero la differenza rispetto ai flash tradizionali, perché la luce risulta più omogenea, più piacevole sui ritratti e meno “dura” quando si lavora in ambienti stretti o con rimbalzi complicati. La potenza da 55Ws è più che sufficiente per la maggior parte delle situazioni reali, soprattutto in abbinamento a TTL e HSS, che rendono il flash davvero comodo da usare anche quando cambia la luce di continuo. Molto apprezzata anche la batteria: l’autonomia è convincente e permette di lavorare tranquilli senza l’ansia di dover cambiare pile ogni poco. Il sistema di ricarica è pratico e, in generale, il flash dà l’impressione di essere un prodotto pensato bene per chi scatta davvero, non solo per chi cerca schede tecniche interessanti. Sul corpo macchina il bilanciamento è buono, l’ergonomia è curata e i comandi sono immediati. La compatibilità con il sistema Sony è solida e la risposta è affidabile, sia in automatico che in manuale. Anche il fatto di avere un flash così compatto ma con prestazioni da strumento serio lo rende molto adatto a ritratti, eventi, street e lavori in mobilità. Non è perfetto, ovviamente: se si cerca una potenza da flash più grande o da uso intensivo in studio, ci sono soluzioni più adatte. Inoltre il prezzo non è da acquisto impulsivo, ma in cambio si porta a casa un prodotto moderno, versatile e nettamente superiore ai classici speedlite economici. In sintesi, per chi usa Sony e vuole un flash affidabile, rapido e con una qualità di luce più bella del solito, il Godox V1 MID S è una scelta davvero centrata. Lo ricomprerei senza dubbi.

Ich habe sie jetzt nicht so lange und kenne mich auch noch nicht Perfekt aus, aber in so manchen Situationen und Einstellungen die aus Zufall entstehen macht es seinen Job hervorragend.

C'est l'un de mes meilleurs flash ! J'ai le v100 qui est le top du top mais celui-ci l'accompagne bien ! Car .... le TTL est toujours juste pour les deux, et en HSS il n'y a aucun effet de "bandes" pour les deux aussi (ils sont rare) Un bonheur a utiliser avec les accessoires magnetiques comme ceux de Godox barndoor wow ! Et aussi Profoto comme le clic magnum ou le clic fresnel qui double l'intensité ou même le snoot de Rogue !!! La charge en usb c'est top ! Mais la batterie est très longue ! L'écran tactile, c'est plus facile ! Voici 3 photos faites avec le snoot de Rogue qui est mieux que celui de Godox.
