desertcart.com: This Girl's a Killer (Audible Audio Edition): Emma C. Wells, Stefanie Kay, Dreamscape Media: Books Review: Great read! - This book is interesting. I can't imagine the research it took to write this book. The characters are interesting. The storyline was great! It was a great way to tie up the loose ends! And to know who put the camera down. I thought for sure that the bracelet was a goner. The newscaster was a nice touch. All in all, this is a great read! Review: Read it! - This book is so good! This book held my intrigue from start to finish! Cor is a survivor and she has made it her life's mission to eliminate the monsters she sees. On the surface she is sweet, beautiful and stylish! She is a very successful saleswoman with the wardrobe to show for it. Underneath, she is deadly! She has a routine and she has a code. Everything is going great until her top selling item is recalled for deadly side effects. While this book has dark themes, it was not dreadful and dark like most killer books. I really enjoyed this book and could not put it down! I am extremely thankful to have been an ARC reader.

Missing Pages
I didn’t realize until months later, when I picked this book up to read that it started on page 11, mid-chapter. So be careful to check before throwing it on the TBR pile for a later date.

Cordelia Blackmis a pharmacy rep and she hunts monsters
Her best friend, Diane, and Goddaughter, Samantha, are her family. When Diane starts dating Simon, Cordelia gets the feeling that he is a “monster”, it her tell- smoke in the eyes (read the book to find out more) is not there. When her police boyfriend, Christopher, lets her know that he doesn’t feel good about Simon either, it makes Cordelia more suspicious. But Diane really likes Simon and begs Cordelia to play nice. The Baton Rouge Police Department are trying to find out what is happening to the men that have gone missing in the city, There have been no bodies found, but there is talk that there is a serial killer at large. This has Cordelia trying to find out how much the police know from Christopher. Cordelia also is having issues with her job, as the drug she has been promoting, and using in her monster hunting, has been pulled off the market and is under a class action suit. There is a lot going on in the book. Started off a little slow and confusing but picks up.

The tension is thick with this book!
Is this a book or what! Emma C. Wells has created such a magnificent protagonist in Cordelia Black that even though this feels like a standalone novel, I would love to read three or four more stories in this world. I'm just that much invested in this character! The story of a serial killer with a code, Cordelia Black will only kill you if you deserve it, which makes her an antihero for the ages. I love this book! Read it.

3.5 stars
This was a good book but i felt like it lacked excitement or just kinda felt like something was missing. I wanted more details on what happened with Diane and the relationship with Christopher. Other than that I enjoyed the book.

Female serial killer justice well done. Twists in the story capture you and it ends great !
This was a good journey with a female serial killer. Emotional ride and rooting for a serial killer seems wrong but right. Justice is dealt for the win. The writing keeps you connected and living through her mind so well. Twists in the story capture you and the ending is so great !

Ten Stars!!!
Aside from checking myself and my moral compass, I loved this character and this book - LOL! I found myself routing for Cordelia, in certain instances, and being drawn in by her complexity. I was completely captivated and did not anticipate the plot twist. Well done Emma C. Wells!! I can’t wait for the next installment 🧡. On another note: Emma, as a teacher for 25+ years, let me apologize for what your 3rd grade teacher said to you….You are amazing!!
