Because I sometimes suffer from a "non-specific neck-pain" that can be exacerbated by conventional pillows (which are usually too bulky for me) I wanted to try this unusual looking "O-shaped Pillow" and review it on behalf of the Amazon Vine Programme. Of all of the details on the Amazon webpage describing this Pillow the one that drew my attention the most was the measurement given for its height. The Pillow was shown as being just 2 inches (5 cm) from top to bottom;- much thinner than conventional pillows! That's why I was so disappointed to discover the height of the pillow from "top to bottom" is actually more than two inches. (see photographs accompanying this review) Consequently this Pillow has proven to be just that bit too "bulky" to allow me to use it comfortably overnight because it elevates my head too much. After persevering with the Pillow for a week I never managed sleeping through a whole night without discarding it at some stage. That was disappointing as there is a lot about the Pillow that I think is good! For example, I like the soft velvety texture of the outer cover of the Pillow. I also like the hole in the centre of the Pillow because when lying on either my left or right side whichever ear I have facing toward the Pillow doesn't get too hot. I can lie flat on my back with the Pillow supporting the back of my head, - but only for a relatively short time,- after which I feel that my head is elevated slightly too high. Another potentially useful feature of this Pillow is the small zipper that can be "unzipped open" a couple of inches so that the "hypoallergenic polypropylene" material used as the "filling" inside the can be rearranged as required. (see photographs accompanying this review) Because I felt that the Pillow was slightly too "plump" for me I tried to take some of the "filling material" out;- it was a messy job, and not very successful! As the Pillow is much smaller and lighter than conventional pillows it would be conveniently easy to pack into a suitcase for travel away from home,- and that's what I would have considered doing if I'd found the Pillow to be comfortable for a whole nights sleep! So although this Pillow hasn't been able to prevent my "neck pain", at least I can still use it for short periods of "rest and relaxation";- and as we are all "uniquely different" it's likely that others will find the Pillow comfortable enough to enable sleeping with right through the night, even though I couldn't!
