Urban Legends 2 - Final Cut [DVD]

I enjoyed Urban Legends. Urban Legends 2 is a good movie too. I received value for money.

Having lost her job at Pendleton the previous year, Reese Wilson [Loretta Devine as the campus cop] finds herself employed at a theatrical drama school and gives Amy Mayfield [Jennifer Morrison] a germ of an idea for her student thesis film -killings based on urban legends.The novelty value has gone, in this 2000 sequel, so the film seems a little slower than the first and -other then the first murder, there seems to be less 'slash & gore'. Don't get me wrong, this is probably better written than the first but it seems to follow the same basic story arc, only with different murders and settings [lose a *]. It also plays very similar to Scream 3 which was released 7 months earlier [lose another *].This single disc opens to a main menu featuring much the same bonus material as the first film; Language [German or English], subtitles [reduced to 8 European] scene selection, Extra features [trailer, behind the scenes, commentary, making of & talent profiles] and Play.The film is entertaining but plays like a remake of the first so many will be disappointed. Personally, I still enjoyed it, but although it should get a *** I'm going to give it a grudging **** as it does have some good moments and was entertaining.

Not as good as the original, had a pretty strong start but it fizzled out fast and got boring

Good movie but not as good as the first one.

I was obsessed with horror as a kid and enjoy rewatching the films, unfortunately I often realise how awful most of them are, still though you can’t beat 90’s/early 2000’s cheesy horror, but I found myself laughing at how bad this film is, I still love the first film where the kills were brutal and heartbreaking and all based on chilling legends, but this one just goes through the motions and barely references Urbana’s legends or at least not any recognisable or interesting ones. It does seem like an ok enough movie to watch to the end as you sense a decent mystery will unfold at some point, but when it does you realise you held out for nothing, I mean the killers motivation makes no sense, I couldn’t actually tell you what they killed for. To be the end just seems like they pushed all the actors into a room and told them to improvise until they could edit together a feasible ending. I was happy for the bit of nostalgia but adult me won’t be watching again.

If you like Scream movies and I know What You Did Last Summer ones, your love these too, this is the third one... wont give anything away but lots of killing as you expect and hot chic's :p

As a sequel this one is not the best I have seen, the first film is quite good, its new and different. This one follows on but it just does't have the same feel as the first.The storyline is almost exactly the same, a killer doing Urban Legends on campus. Its not as fast paced or interesting as the first, the acting is good with Jennifer Morrison as the lead. I think it has some good parts but has a lot of deaths that are similar to other films of its genre.This is a good film, worth having if you enjoyed the first Urban Legends film.

Si vous avez aimez le premier, c'est une bonne suite. Le suspense est présent et l'intérêt aussi tout le film durant. Du plaisir assuré si vous aimer avoir peur.

Der Film ist absolut super, teilweise sehr brutal! Leider ist der Film extrem geschnitten und ab 15 Jahren freigegeben, was ich als große Enttäuschung sehe!
