not great
I was excited for this rice cooker. We have been contemplating the purchase of one with this low carb feature. I used sushi rice medium grain that doesn't grow as much. I started reading the instructions but they didn't mention the amount of rice for the low carb mode so I asume 4 cups as the total it claims is 8 cups. Well...that didn't go that well but the rice was edible. It had a weird texture, sort of fluffy but still a little al dente. Also it felt less filling at the beginning but filled me up at the end. I did make a second round with 3 cups instead which was better, softer and fluffier but it was not sticky. I guess you need the starch for that. We eat it without problems. The descriptions on the manual are lacking in my opinion. Also the water does overflow from the lid as I found water at the bottom of the pot. I don't know if that is to be expected. I couldn’t find anywhere an option to cook regular rice which will make sense and there is room for it. Also the amount of low carb rice is very limited, we need 4 cups. I think is not worth the price.
