You couldn't ask for a better hand grinder. You can feel that steel burr slicing joyfully, gliding, through the whole coffee beans. It's a joy, it's satisfying. Not that I know much about hand grinders, but I don't see a flaw in it. It's just masterfully done. Someone knew what they were doing when they designed this. It's just great. It's perfect. I may return it, still, because it just doesn't make a difference in my life, because I drink decaf espresso, and it tastes no different freshly ground. Haha.

There are much cheaper options that are the same quality on Amazon. This grinder has a couple gimmicky qualities that would have been great if they worked well but they don't. The "antistatic" mechanism really let me down and the adjustment doesn't adjust anywhere near a coarse setting so it doesn't really work well with pour over coffee makers unless you're using paper filters. I would have adjusted the burr out a little if that was possible but instead of using a left hand thread design to hold the parts together they use a locking sleeve that has a tendency to unlock while grinding coffee which causes the burr to partially fall out of the bottom into the dose cup. This allows the coffee to fill the space which makes it impossible to fix unless you dump out all your partially ground beans and completely reassemble the grinder. It does work most of the time as long as you need a more finely ground coffee but like I said there are much better options for much less than the $120 they're asking for this.

This manual grinder is great! The handle is designed well to give plenty of grip and there is a rubber piece in the center of the grinder to give good control when grinding. it took about 30 seconds to grind 22 grams of coffee for a pour over and 40 seconds for 18 grams of espresso grind. It takes some effort as with all manual grinders, but the handle can adjust to be longer, which makes grinding the coffee fairly easy. The directions were maintenance were a bit unclear for cleaning the burrs. It did not come with the hex wrench that is needed to clean the burrs, which was disappointing. The top of the grinder pops off to load the beans, which was not as clearly explained in the instructions. Initially I questioned if I was to pour the beans into the small slot on top, but I realized the whole top section is held on by a rubber ring and can be easily taken off to pour in beans and pushed back into place. The hopper hold up to 30 grams of beans, which is about as big as I would go for a pourover. I did appreciate the travel bag, which was thicker and sturdier than I had expected. The grinder is exactly 800 grams (1 pound 12 ounces), which is a good weight to take with me into the woods. This is a great grinder and will be an important item in my camping gear.

I picked up this manual grinder mainly to complement my electric grinder, and it’s been a great addition. I like to experiment with different grind sizes depending on the brew method, and this lets me do that without constantly resetting my electric grinder (which usually takes a couple of runs to fully adjust anyway). The grind consistency is impressive, especially for single servings. It handles everything from espresso to French press and pour-over really well, giving me a lot more flexibility in how I brew. In fact, the results feel more consistent than what I’ve gotten from lower-end electric grinders. It’s also surprisingly easy to use—much smoother than other manual grinders I’ve tried. The build quality feels solid, and the design is sleek and aesthetically pleasing. There’s something really satisfying about hand grinding coffee, especially with the fresh aroma you get right before brewing. Overall, I’m very happy with this purchase and would recommend it to anyone who enjoys dialing in their coffee or wants a reliable backup to an electric grinder.
