Great for Laddie's Subcutaneous Fluids
Like so many others, I purchased this IV pole because my dog has needed subcutaneous fluids three times a week since being diagnosed with kidney disease. For months, I used a portable clothing rack instead. It didn't cost me anything, because I already had it. But using it as an improvised IV pole prevented me from using it for quilts I was working on. So I finally bit the bullet and purchased a real IV pole. This pole was easy to assemble. It's nice and sturdy. It wheels easily on my floors. I'm very satisfied with my purchase.

SO helpful!!!
After some recent surgeries, I came home with an IV and a would vac attached to my body. Each device had its own case so I could carry them over my shoulder like a purse. Between the two devices, they were a bit heavy not to mention cumbersome & rather difficult to cart around every time I got up. My boyfriend suggested we look into a rolling IV pole so I could hang them both up and have a little more freedom to move around. This pole was perfect! The base is wide enough that it not only rolled smoothly across the floor but it felt very stable and I was able to use the pole in place of my cane during the time I needed it. Trust me - getting up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom was tough before I had the pole.....I would be fumbling to get the tubings straight and the appliances over my shoulder while trying to walk with a cane. Once I was able to hang the pouches up....it was just grab the pole and go!If you need an IV pole at home, I would definitely recommend this one. It's not the cheapest, nor is it the most expensive - but it definitely does the job when it comes to moving around your home with ease. Thanks Medline!!!!

Perfect IV Pole
I'm an RN, retired, and I got this to give fluids to my sick cat. Not only is this an excellent IV pole, the same kind we use in the hospitals, but it makes it so you can hang the IV bag nice and high, and when you do subcutaneous fluids to your pet, they drip in quickly and efficiently. It rolls nicely, was easy to assemble, and is high quality. I could not be happier. I wish I had thought to get this before when I had to do fluids for a year for another beloved cat who had Renal Failure. I highly recommend this. It is worth the money ten times over.

Solid, stable, smooth rolling, easily adjustable pole. Perfect.
This Medline now has 3 months of daily use & it remains easy to roll around, easy to adjust up & down, and totally stable. It cost more than I wanted to spend, but it proves its worth every day; so it turns out to be an excellent value.

Works .... until it doesn't :-(
When I received this pole I used it for about 2 months to administer SubQ fluids to my cat. I then put it into storage and brought it out about 3 months ago to administer SubQ fluids to another one of my cats. After that time the pole locking mechanism to adjust the height broke and no longer holds up the pole. Granted I had the pole for over a year; however, I used it a total of approx. 5 months before it broke. While it was working it was excellent. The wheels rolled smoothly and I could adjust it for the correct height to administer fluids.

Excellent quality for the price point
I purchased this IV pole to hold a 4 liter water tank for a gravity fed steam iron. I needed something sturdy and mobile and basic. There are even sturdier IV poles available with larger casters and locking mechanisms at higher price points, but this one was just right for my needs. Hanging a couple of liters of water on one side of this pole does cause it to lean a bit, so most sewists hang a counterweight of some type on the other side to help balance it which works a charm. Given that IV poles are designed to hold much smaller quantities of fluids, this pole is performing extremely well. I recommend it.

simple, high quality
I bought this pole, like others, for my kitty, whose going to be starting sub-q fluids at home. I'm hoping that she will be around for quite a long time and so I wanted to invest in a pole, rather than doing some kind of makeshift thing. There were so many poles that looked similar and were around the same price when making my purchase, and the reviews helped a lot, so I wanted to chime in and say that this is sturdy and high quality. It is super easy to adjust the height I'm not at all mechanically inclined, and I was able to put it together myself in 5 minutes. It came with a wrench, and everything fit together easily. The wheels come already attached to the bottom bars, which helps a lot. It rolls easily and fits in my front closet. Now, I hope every thing else about doing my kitty's sub-q fluids is just as easy!!
