Fun (and Educational) for the Whole Family
This is a wonderful game! I played it with my 4 year old granddaughter and 8 year old grandson last week. They had fun and didn't even realize they were learning about medicinal herbs at the same time. This game took us around 40 minutes and my granddaughter lost interest at about 35 minutes. But the fact that she stayed with it that long at 4, means she was really having fun. I am hoping that the future they become more curious about these herbs and ask if we can actually find some in the nearby field. I'll be ready with my medicinal herbs book to show them what these herbs can be used for, and even how to preserve them. The author of this game also has a series called Herb Fairies that can be an add-on to teach more about medicinal herbs.

Chutes & Ladders meet Life meet Learning
As our family expands our herbal knowledge, I knew this game would intrigue the minds of a 5 & 7 year old, as well as my own! You race around the board to get to the hill, but you donโt leave anyone behind with the โhelper cardsโ. Just like in real life we need to help and lift up others! The cards are easy for kids who cannot read. You pick a trouble/ailment and the littles knew exactly what it was by the picture. Then tried to match the plant to the ailment. If you donโt have the plant you keep the ailment until you find it on your journey just like real wild crafting. As the kid said โthis matches!โ I would say โyes! [plant] helps with the pain of [ailment] or helps relieve the itching of [ailment].โ You donโt really have to know plants to get the gist of why it may help but is useful since there are no information cards like other people say there should be. No, thatโs what getting out there and learning is for. You can also play this game many ways; Matching, no sun, forward and back, first to use all their plants, helping your โcousinโ heal with a plant you may have โfoundโ etcโฆ thereโs actually a lot of possibilities. Also, didnโt know there were books and a whole world of this wildcrafting โstoryโ outside of the game. My 7 yr old now wants all the books and stuff because, fairies.it will be exciting to grow and forage new plants this year with new eyes who can help say this plant helps this ailment, and we can make the tincture, tea, salve, whatever together. Itโs a great tool to help the kids get into wildcrafting and foraging good and bad. I recommend this as gifts and for the home. 1-4 players. You could add more or play by yourself!

Fun for all ages
Love love love this game. Perfect for the whole family. Itโs cooperative so everyone can have fun, the youngest kids can play, players can even hop in and out of the game if need be, without disrupting the game too much. Love learning about plants along the way too! Canโt recommend this game highly enough.

fun game, good for all ages 8+
I had been looking at this game for a long time, but I didn't know if it would be good for adults with varying levels of knowledge about plants. I thought it might help me learn about herbs, but I also wanted it to be fun for my adult daughters, who have a lot of this type of knowledge. I finally got a chance to play it, and it is great. I went home and ordered it pretty quickly. The game is somewhat cooperative--you each progress independently but the total goal can be reached together. As you hike up the trail, you have problems like a skinned knee or upset stomach, and you have to use your collected herbs to solve them. It sounds like it could be boring, but it's actually well done and pretty fun. My son-in-law had played it for years, since he was a child, but he still was very happy to play it again and show it to me, and the rest of us who had never played it also had fun with it. It's not a super challenging game, but we enjoy less intense games, too, and this one was very good.

Fun for families, but does not include all materials in description
I'll start by saying this is a very sweet game. I like how the directions encourage you to "just start playing" and learn as you play. You do need to print the coloring book and guide on your own, which is why I am giving it 4 stars. At the price point, I was expecting to have the coloring book and guide included. So that was kind of a letdown. Especially if you don't have access to a printer. For the game to truly be educational, you need the guide.

Educational and Fun
Got this for my 4 year old granddaughter and she (and her mom) loves it. It keeps her interest and she (and her mom) are learning so much. Can't say enough good about it.

Very Educational and Fun
Let me start by saying, I grew up around an expert gardener and a gardening shop so I have always loved plants and picked up on a few things over the years. My family also likes to be self-sufficient and started learning about foraging wild plants in the previous year. I must say, this game is spot on and super educational for ALL ages, even for myself and my gardening expert mom. She even learned a few new things and was very impressed! I love the fact that, unlike most games being competitive, this one, you have to work as a team in order to achieve a common goal. My kids love it and even seem to be a little more kind to one another since we have been playing it. Definitely worth the money in my opinion. Great job!

Everything is Awesome
There was nothing for me to dislike. The artwork is beautiful, our five and four year old were able to learn it with minimal difficulty and it was fun to play a game where they weren't playing against each other. The cooperative play of the game makes it great to play with young kids that are learning about teamwork as well as adults who want to play a relaxing game that doesn't inspire competition but cooperation, and would make a great gift to anyone who enjoys board games. On a personal note: having kids who are already competitive by nature, it's been a nice change of pace to see them working together.

Excellent game for learning different types of useful plants
We got this game for our 4-year-old as a Christmas gift, we all liked the game and we're all learning thanks to it. Our son still doesn't understand all of the game but he enjoys the process of playing with both of his parents. We're sure that later he will be able to really understand the game and the rules.

Beautiful and important educational tool
Great game. If played the traditional way it is quite long. We adapt it based on how long we want to ply for. Itโs easy to change rules and make it your own. Very informative and educational. My kids have learnt so much!
