easy to use, good value starter camera that will grow with you from auto to manual controls
battery lasted around 5 hours of almost constant photography (learning to use camera and was so easy, I just kept going!) The quality of the pictures was sooo much better than I am used to. Even better than my binocular view! Easily connects to app on phone via wifi and Bluetooth. The perfect starter camera on auto setting, but plenty of options to personalise the settings for the more advance photographer. Reasonably priced considering the top notch quality and functionality. I was at least 100-200 yards away from the photo subjects, and these were all on auto settings,

Great wee camera
I've used a number of bridge cameras over the years Fuji, Nikon and now Canon and to be honest I'm delighted with both the weight and size of the camera, compared to my Nikon P950 which was huge, size difference can be seen in photo. Reason for changing camera is due to arthritis in both hands making it difficult to hold the Nikon, this wee camera is great to hold and use, especially in the run with my guineas, the focusing is superb and picture quality is excellent for my purposes. The enclosed instruction book could have been printed a bit bigger, however I went online and d/l'd the user manual and was able to read and use without a problem. The various settings are OK but some I would not use like toy camera and fish eye. Will be taking the camera out and about over the w/e once the new camera case arrives, in the meantime I'm in the run with the guinea pigs snapping away. A decent camera well worth buying...........

A good camera - but no better image quality than, say, the SX50 - now over 6 years old
This is quite a nice camera and I was hoping for a bigger improvement in image quality compared to the SX50 that I've had for over 6 years. Unfortunately, even with a higher zoom and higher megapixel count, there is only a very marginal improvement in the level of detail seen in images, at the same settings and lighting conditions. I think a theoretical limit was reached a few years ago with this sensor size and so the main improvements with the cameras are to do with things like image processing speed, video resolution increases, faster auto-focusing or additional features like time-lapse movies or WiFI remote control (not available on older cameras like the SX50). Another thing is they have removed the ring control from around the menu buttons, which is a shame because the SX50 one I found to be quite useful. The Electronic Viewfinder is superb, however, and allows much more confidence when taking shots compared to the SX50.If you are used to Canon cameras, it seems they revised the menu system quite a bit compared to even the SX720 I have which is only about 2 years old. I didn't like it as much, but I had to return the camera. The build quality seems OK - but again, somehow not quite as good as the SX50 - a bit more plastic-y really (to me). Also remember the hots-hoe has been removed,so if you used that feature a lot (I didn't), you will find the removal annoying!Overall, though, it is a good all-rounder, I think and a very powerful machine considering its size and weight.

Great bridge camera
I have had aCanon DSLR for years, however, find that to carry three/four different lens around can be a challenge. This camera covers an excellent range from wide angle to about equiv 1300mm telephoto. One fixed lens. Very lightweight. I am used to the Canon menus so easy to pick up as I went through. I like the swivel and tilt screen which can be used instead of the viewfinder. Also having the ability to send images to my iPad or mobile by using the Wi-Fi/ Bluetooth setting on the camera; I have moved some old images taken with my DSLR as still had these on my SD card! There are restrictions in ISO and Aperture settings so use of a DSLR for low light would be better. Overall whilst still early days I am happy with this camera.

Not for me , but for amateur it is a ideal camera
It would be an ideal camera for someone that doesn’t want to carry a load of lenses about as this camera as all built in, and a fantastic zoom reach , j. Lamb
