The rubber rods do not slide into the springs..There are no instructions with product or videos showing how to insert the rods.. the end connective loops are bent in such a way that they block the access to allow insertion … Boooooo on this product

This brake lathe spring silencer band is designed for use on brake rotor resurfacing machines, where it helps reduce vibration and eliminate screeching noise during cutting. From a performance standpoint, it does what it is intended to do—once it is finally assembled. The band thickness is well-suited for truck rotors, and after installation it effectively dampened vibration and eliminated the high-pitched screech during the resurfacing process. The price point is good, especially compared to major brand replacements, which makes this product initially appealing. However, having to insert the silencer bands in the springs itself was extremely frustrating and time-consuming, and this is the main reason for my low rating. Unlike major brands, these silencer bands does not come ready to use. The silencer bands must be manually inserted into the springs, which proved to be a major inconvenience. We had to use pliers and a vise grip to maneuver the bands into place, including bending the spring tips to force insertion. Even with tools, the process was difficult, tedious, and time-consuming. I actually broke one of the tip of the spring trying to bend it. Like the original design, the replacement assembly includes four springs that can be configured in three- or four-spring setups to fit different rotor diameters, which is a useful feature. Unfortunately, the time spent assembling it outweighs the cost savings. While the product functions as it should once installed and the price is attractive, the fact that it is not ready to use out of the package means I would not order this again.
