Best bang for buck phone at its price point, albeit a few small troubles
Bought this during OnePlus's big sale they've had early January, I've used it for about a week or so, spent a good bit of time working out what I wanted changing and tuning everything to my preferences, I'll just say at the start that this is a genuinely great phone and I think it should even be considered against the flagship models from the likes of Apple, Google and Samsung, it's genuinely that good, I wouldn't normally write reviews but I found a few things of note with this phone that really weren't mentioned anywhere else that I think potential buyers should know, I'll jam those in after a general pros and cons deal, so here goes.Pros:Speed - I'll just be blunt here, this phone is fast, animations are minimal and everything is geared to let you go where you want to go as fast as possible, it's all very intuitive as you'd expect, the unlock features (which will be addressed in a bit) are competitive with flagship phones and even better in some instances, it's a truly great experience. Methods of unlock - Wow. The facial ID and finger scanner are some of the best on the market on this phone, quick, snappy and they just work, both integrate with a few apps here and there and unlocking the phone is a breeze, I debate on just how secure the facial ID is but the finger scanner is top notch for its pricing.Design and style - Build quality on this is great, the weight is nice and it feels well assembled, the glass backing doesn't feel fragile in any way and the overall phone has a nice look (minus the notch, but thats a personal taste and can be more or less made invisible in the settings)Features - All in all, a lot of the features crammed in here just work really well, being able to swipe directions to pause and skip songs with the screen still off is great, and theres more like those buried in the settings, OP really listened to their consumers when making their phones and it shows.Battery life - Not having to worry about battery life is such a quality of life improvement, the battery will easily last a day for most heavy users, mine can usually go 2 days or so before needing a top up, which is done extremely quickly.Cons:Charging cables - It's very much a nitpick, but the power cable supplied with this phone is just too short, couple that with the seemingly permanent coiling I have with my wire, it makes it very short indeed and given you don't benefit from the quickcharge with most other cables you may have around, I'd reccomend looking into a longer one, especially hearing poor reliability long term with the standard charging cable, just ensure you buy a quickcharge supported one to avoid disappointments.Fingerprint scanner placement - This one I don't need to spell out too much, but the placement of the scanner and cameras being so close, it's just a fact that the camera is getting smudged now and again by a finger or two, more of an inconvenience than anything but you will get used to this over time.Default Music Player - Upon launching I discovered OnePlus doesn't actually have their own designed music player, instead piggybacking off of Googles Music player, which is no terrible thing for most, but the app lacks in depth and customisation and gets pushy for paid version upgrades (I reccomend switching to either Shuttle or Black Player, I tried both and stuck with Shuttle out of familiarity but both are great players for what they are)Weirdness and other Miscellaneous items:Data transferral - This model of phone doesn't have an SD card slot as you may or may not know (This nearly caught me when picking out 64 or 128gb of space too) which is no biggie as the space options provided are plentiful, it is an issue when the OP6 didn't actually transfer my data from my original phones SD card too, opting to only move the data from the internal on my old phone, which was only my applications and not the images, music and other such things I planned on, easy enough to transfer manually but an inconvenience I shouldn't have really had.Headphone jack placement - Pause to appreciate the headphone jack still making an appearance, moving on - Located on the bottom of the phone, it can be a little weird picking the phone out, and placing the jack at the top (phone upside down in this case) and then wondering where the buttons are (My old phone had the jack at the top and muscle memory kicks in, such and such)All things considered, truly a great phone option that I'd reccomend to anyone

A true flagship killer
I bought this over the 6T as I'd rather have a headphone jack and I also prefer the fingerprint sensor on the rear.I've been using this phone for a few weeks now and my experience has been fantastic.- Great display- Great battery life- Super fast recharge- Great performance- Nice, clean software- Great build quality- Decent cameraMy only issue really is that the camera isn't the best for low light photography. But other than that, there's nothing to complain about. Well worth the money, great value, highly recommended. A true flagship killer.

Perfect for everyday use.
Had this handset for almost 3 months now and it’s brilliant in almost every aspect. Battery life is excellent, screen is bright and clear, call quality is excellent, GPS is is fast and accurate and regular updates are reassuring.Camera is excellent but I don’t use it often enough to give a ‘professional’ camera review, but it’s good enough for me even in low light shots.Few negatives are:I only use the phone for calls, Sat Nav and very light internet search, so can’t comment on gaming capabilities, the launcher froze on me a few times however, even with light use (Too many times considering the price), I could still see my wallpaper but all icons disappeared, only way to have it responding again was to use gestures for ‘home’ button, then clear recent applications. Launcher then starts again. But still, for very light use? It’s disappointing.Other disappointment is fingerprint scanner, I chose the OP6 over OP6T because of the physical fingerprint scanner, it does fail to recognise my fingerprint too many times. Previous phone was a 3 years old Honor 8, on the course of those 3 years, I probably had to rescan my fingerprint less times than I had to do with the OP6 in 3 months, which is disappointing, regardless of the price of the handset.Overall? Few let downs, but excellent battery life and overall performance make up for it. Hopefully regular future software updates will resolve the few launcher/fingerprint scanner issues and enhance the overall experience.

Best phone to date!!
Was going to go for the 6+ being the latest and being away from oneplus since the 1+3 but opted for the 6 instead. Glad I did, great phone, does it all, fast, great battery, prefer the finger print reader on rear and camera is great. All in all very pleased with the phone

Has NOT disappointed!
This is a great phone. Worth it for the slo-mo camera feature alone, but does everything else you'd expect from an android smartphone. It's fast. Gets my vote! Video zoom is great - & great for photos too. One point to bear in mind is that with the slo-mo video, zoom cannot be used ..& it doesn't record audio for slo-mo.. However, with the ultra-slow speed at a decent resolution it really is an awesome thing.

Brilliant phone
I was all ready to upgrade my 3 year old Nexus 6P to the new oneplus 6T when the oneplus 6 was discounted by £70 for Black Friday. I decided to go with the 6 and what a bargain.OK, I lost a bigger battery, slightly bigger screen and in-display fingerprint reader but gained a headphone jack, a notification light and £80 over the 6T.Upgrade to pie and Oxygen 9. Straight away so in essence the same experience.Did quite a bit of research on oneplus and definitely not disappointed.

Best value for money phone
Best value for money phone I ever had. My friends and colleagues always asks me what brand of phone am using cause the pictures look the same if not better than their iphone. Battery life could be better but still, from full, gets me through my day without charging, And if a forgot to charge from the night before, no worries, DASH charging is here, tops it up for less than an hour. The best android phone I ever had.
