Ok but should have instructions.
These connectors do work and can be fitted but it would be a whole lot easier with instructions. Very fiddly if you are trying to fit to wiring in the car (lying on your back under a VW van for example!). Main tips are - 1. Use a very fine tipped soldering iron and keep the solder to a minimum or the pin won’t go in. 2. Make sure you thread the yellow seal onto the wire before soldering the pin on. 3. Make sure the pin is inserted the right way up in the connector and pushed far enough in (otherwise it will pull out). Repaired my son’s alternator sensor wires with one and it seems to be fine (quite exposed to the elements).

Unusable waterproof subminiature connectors - no instructions!
Received 10 subminiture low voltage connectors in kit form. There were no instructions how to construct and use the connectors. Good value for money given the number of connectors but they were totally useless without the instructions. If usable, the connectors looked water resistant and allowed disconnection if required. I probably should have returned the item for a refund. Disappointing. Purchased and used an alternative barrel-like screw connector to complete intended task.

Fiddly as hell, OK once you get the hang of it
Initially thought like others these were completely useless because the pins didn't meet the receptacles. However I then realised that the pins go in the 'female' connector, and the receptacles in the 'male' (the one with the yellow gasket, ribbed for extra pleasure). Once you realise that and which way up the pins/receptacles go, they're adequate. However there's no strain relief at all, so although the crimps are pretty easy with some fine pliers, I've put a dob of solder on for luck, after crimping. My guess is the "heat shrink" in the title (none is supplied) is down to the fact there is a flange at the cable end of the connectors for it to grip on to. I used black tape!

Good when assembled, Fiddly to assemble, no instructions
A bit of a fiddle to put together. There were no instructions as to how they should be assembled, but it's not too hard to work out.Once you've soldered in wires and put everything together the final result is easy to clip and unclip connectors. For any light electrical use, needing a bit of water protection, they are ideal.I've scored a bit low for lack of instructions and fiddly assembly.

I have used better waterproof connectors which are simpler to connect and truly waterproof.
I found these to be very fiddly to use and as the ends are not protected, only the joint itself would be waterproof, but not the plug as a whole. However, they doubled as a connector for a VW reversing light - switch which I had bought to replace the original Lucas brake light switch - so I got my moneys worth!

Ok product for similarly sized wire !
I was trying to go from a large wire supply to a smaller wire(physical size) and this product was not great for that! Although for normal medium size wire they are good! Reason for medium score !!

Look good but 50% broke on use. Avoid
50% fail rate! When I bought these, I thought they looked really good. I opened the packet and pushed a set of connectors together, just to see their functionality, and the retaining clip snapped. I went through the entire bag of ten, using as little pressure as possible to push connectors together, and 5 out of the 10 snapped! Conclusion: look good but total rubbish! Will not be using these on my motorbike build and will be seeking a refund.
