I didn’t expect much from this at first, but it surprisingly works. It pulls dust, crumbs, hair, and all manner of random debris out of places that regular wipes simply can’t reach. It is especially good between keyboard keys and tight vents. The first time I used it, I was impressed by how much unseen dirt it removed in seconds. The bright colour gives it that nice clean look and also makes it easy to spot where the gel has collected dust. It’s soft, flexible, moulds perfectly into tiny crevices, and easily removed without damaging anything or leaving residue. The container is compact enough to keep in a desk drawer, laptop bag, or even the car, so it easy to grab whenever something needs a quick clean. Just press the gel into the surface and lift away the dirt. Job done! Beyond keyboards, I’ve used it on other items such as PC air vents, dashboard vents, and even around small household appliances, so it is pretty versatile. I've been using it for a good while, so with it being reusable gives it added value, and the light lemon scent makes it feel cleaner. Overall, this is one of those inexpensive gadgets that seems gimmicky until you actually try it. Once you do, it quickly becomes something you reach for all the time.

This product is very effective when it's new but quickly deteriorates into a gooey sludge that's hard to remove from your hands. Pretty sure it would ruin a keyboard in this state.

Works brilliant definitely buy again

Used to clean computer keyboards for many years, never experienced the problems others have reported. Follow the instructions! My cleaning regimen is- first unplug a USB keyboard or power down a laptop, we are going to be pressing a lot of keys at once.... Turn the keyboard upside down and shake vigorously and see those small hairs and particles tumble out. Now use a small brush (the cleaning brush for an electric shaver is ideal) and run it between the keys to dislodge lightly stuck particles. Turn keyboard upside down and shake again. Now get out a piece of gel, knead i a little and press a golf ball sized piece oversome keys, pressing the gel down. Do not press so hard the top of the gel becomes too thin. Knead and press until happy- your keyboard has been treated with a mild bacteria remover as well as cleansed. Put the gel back in the container and close the lid tightly. Important: Do not allow the gel to overheat- keep out of direct sunshine and if possible below 25C - consider the fridge in warm weather but allow to warm up before use from a fridge. The gel should be replaced if it becomes dark or after three months. I bought the two pack of the yellow gel and received a small brush and a key-cap removing tool. This gel does not remove liquid remnants so if you have spilled coffee, cola, juice onto your keyboard then more drastic cleaning is required. I have bought this product (yellow gel in a screw lid container) many times (differing tradenames but the same thing) and am completely happy with it.

I use this on keyboards and it does a good job of getting in between the keys. It gets loose stuff great, but won't be able to clean everything as well as a cloth and water. However, still a useful thing to have around to avoid having to take apart keyboards and similar.

I initially bought this to get in between the keys on my laptop - the idea of just "stamping" it to reach the accumulated dust that's really difficult to get to was quite a draw... My tub arrived damaged and the seal had broken open but once I removed the lid I was please to find the dust remover hadn't gone hard and dried out. It's a kind of yellow slime (remember slymuk and fart putty?) with a faint lemon smell. I would have said there's no fragrance, it's nowhere near overpowering but it does have a hint of lemon about it... I scooped it out if the tub in one piece and immediately found it quite relaxing just squeezing it in my hands lol it's not as firm as physio putty but is firm enough to mould, (although I wouldn't try resting it on your clothes or buying it for this purpose!) Anyway, once I decided to use it for the reason I purchased, it did a great job of cleaning between the keys on my laptop. Occasionally it would leave some sticky residue as other reviewers have pointed out, but I found that if you rolled the putty back over itself, it just took it back up. My electronic keyboard (musical not computer) happened to be staring at me, also with dust down either side of the keys but also where the volume and pitch keys were; I've tried to clean with a dust brush on my hoover but this got to places I just couldn't clean before. I noticed before putting it back in its tub that it had like a dark vein running across it - I can see how the seller points out that it's done when it gets dark, but plenty of life left in it yet! Pushing it back into the tub from the "sausage" that I'd created by rolling it in my keyboard was easy enough, and when pressing it to fit is when it reminded me of fart putty 😉 No residue on my hands after use, although I did pinch a piece off to see how it would cope in water and it didn't seem to disintegrate but kind of rolled off my finger - I hope the claims of it being biodegradable are true, but in the meantime I'm thinking of taking it to work with me to tackle the electronics that are in dire need of degriming!
