I tried everything: red wine, vinegar mixtures, any fruit fly remedy recipe that I could fine online. I finally looked for a fruit fly attractant on Amazon, and I found this. Not much happened in the first 24 hours (maybe it takes time to activate?) but that’s when the magic started. On about the third day, we had at least 20 flies in the two traps we set out. After a week, we no longer had a fruit fly problem. They were all in the traps. I cannot believe how well this worked. I am keeping the traps and purchasing refills as soon as they are available!!! If you have a fruit fly problem, do not hesitate to try this because it is the only thing that worked for me! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ This thing WORKS!!! *by G***N on September 18, 2018* Amazing trap! I have parrots that eat fresh fruit every day and the fruit flies are a nightmare. This trap began working immediately and I now have a half inch of flies that have sunk to the bottom. Highly recommend. I gave it four stars because it doesn't ship with an extra packet of lure so if you have a bad infestation you may need to buy more sooner than later.
