A Much Improved Product
I have had several of these automatic cat pans over the years and have noted several improvements. In the previous iteration, the lip of the pan was extended to allow the collection tray to slide under. This eliminated the problem of litter falling between the pan and the tray. In this iteration, two other problems have been addressed. 1. The rake tines' length has been extended to more thoroughly clean the bottom of the pan. 2. The speed of the sweep has been slowed and the motor appears to have more torque. This improves the removal of big clumps and should improve the life of the motor. An additional improvement is that operation is much quieter. We have two adult cats and the unit easily handles their "deposits". Generally, emptying of the tray is required every three days and no odor is noticed in the interim periods. Past experience with this product has seen the need for replacement in 2-3 years; however, I expect that the increase in motor torque should significantly improve the product's longevity. While the product is not perfect, the combination of its overall design and price make it a good buy. My only suggestion for improvement would be to eliminate the "night light" feature or at least provide a means to turn it off. In 50 years of having cats, we've never had one who couldn't find the pan at night.

Changed from 3 stars to 1 star now with update
Update Aug 26/2023 Got the check in the mail.I spent a whole afternoon taking the thing apart and testing everything. It comes down to a bad wire. I was able to take the old wire and stuff off it it and found a wire that should hold up for a while. I hot glued it in to the motor case and replaced the ribbon cable. I can not be 100% sure if it was the ribbon cable or the safety switch. Either way the safety switch was in pretty bad shape and ended up having to remove it. I was able to get the machine working. How long it will last I am not sure. Though I can now guess that once the rake moved 1/4 of the way and then stopped it was likely the bending of the ribbon cable that caused it to stop and then after it relaxed a bit would start again. Either way still not sure. Its working again with out the safety switch. My cat is old and she gets in and does her thing and leaves. I have seen her approach it and it would start cleaning and she would just move away and come back after it stops making noise. While I had it apart I inspected every thing to find out what the clicking noise is when it returns and really not sure what it is. The only thing I think could be the problem is it could be one gear off. I move it all the way up to the top and then look at it and make sure both sides are exactly the same and adjust from there. So far I do not hear any clicking. Really do not hear it anymore like I used to before. The machine is very simple yet the flaw is that ribbon cable and maybe corrosion on that safety switch on the rake. I sealed up those holes with hot glue and seems to be fine.I would not recommend this to anyone unless they do a update and fix a few thing. A bigger and better way to remove the waste. These black plastic baskets are quite a waste of money overall when on could just make a clean trap door and a plastic holding basket. Its still today Aug 16 2023. Customer support was really fast. I am guessing that I will get get a check for 155.99 of which I paid for the unit.Lets be crystal clear do the warranty before the 12 months and do not use some random UPC of their litter boxes because it will likely be the old litter box that is discontinued. If you have the new model with the led lights and built in scoop that is the new one. Other wise they will prorate you the cost.Customer service is fast yet they are so basic on what they say. I sent them the request at around 2:15 central time and got a response back with in an hour and then a full refund by 4:12. I was in the process of telling them that the model they sell is not discontinued and that I had the new one. I was even taking photos and copying and pasting the ones online and they sent me a thing saying sending me a refund. Then I was like refund for how much and they sent me one back saying what I paid for it.So I will see when the check comes in the mail. I will update to make sure that I get it.I added the photos I took today.Since I got a refund. I am going to take it down and wash it. Take it apart and maybe find a replacement motor for it. See if I can fix it. Even if I have to make it janky.Bought this Oct 3rd 2022 and today is Aug 16 2023. Still with in 1 year of the warranty.Over the last month the cleaning has paused 1/3 of the way though and then finished. Today it has quit 100%.When I first noticed it it I looked it up and knew that it was the motor failing. So I doubled checked when I ordered this and it was with in warranty. I should have started a claim back then yet I did not. Might have gotten it fixed before now.So I now have to wait on them to respond. If I do not hear something back by Monday I will be calling as I would like to get this taken care of.These machines are expensive and should last more than 10 months. This is premature failure. Its sad that a company would cheap out on something like this.I could make a far better box that is cheaper and 100% better. FFS these things are not hard to do.First off the comb need to move way higher and it needs to drag as it cleans and not hover. The waste bin is one of the worst ideas ever invented. It needs a to have a smooth insert then drops down to a tray under the box. The ramp needs to be way better and longer. The fancy style does not need to be part of the box. Its a litter box and your cat does not care what it looks like. The way this one is set up it back drags the poop from time to time and because the comb does not hit the bottom it just builds up with urine. This makes a hard pack after a day or to. Had the comb dragged with pressure and then floated with slight pressure on the return it would would quite well.

Honest Review & tips
I have owned this automatic cat litter cleaning machine for aprox. 1 month. I say a confident yes to recommend it, keeping in mind that there is no perfect answer to cat litter duty. This is a very helpful product in the process though. So far, once I learned PATIENTLY & gently how to use the machine, check on it and tidy it up, it has been a positive experience. The best perk is that every time my cat goes into the litter, the litter is clean and therefore my cat who walks around the house, is allowed on my bed and sits on my lap is cleaner. This is a big plus and worth having the machine provided it keeps working well (I have only had it a month aprox). Tips: if you are going on a short vacation for a day or two or possibly three, the machine will likely be okay, but have a back up littler box and plan to attend to it once you get home asap. The comb removes litter from the from the box and therefore the container will become full & need emptying & more littler needs to be put in once in a while depending on how frequently your cat uses it. My cat uses it allot because she has hyperthyroidism. I can depend on the box if I forget, am not home or am just plain exhausted at the end of the day... but on a regular daily basis it absolutely works at it's best when you tidy it up and check everything every day. I would recommend 1 machine per adult cat. I have a little hand held broom, litter shovel, more cat litter, wipes & also the plastic cat litter rake that comes with the product. I use these to tidy up the inside track area, the electronic litter comb & the outside and top of machine, etc. I double stacked a set of containers & lined them with Hefty 4 gal scented trash bags for easy disposal. I daily hand rake all the way down to the bottom of the litter pan area just in case the litter comb couldn't fully reach it. Once in a while when the litter looks a bit used, I use a litter shovel to scoop out all the litter from the litter pan area, clean the combing rake and start with new litter to keep it at it's freshest ability. Do not hose or spray the machine down with water. Scoop out the litter, wipe up the rest & use something to clean it up by hand. Although I like the machine so far, I do wish that the waste container was a bit bigger and that it would come with a stronger permanent plastic option instead of only flimsy, thin throw away containers. For my purposes, that would work much, much better. I also wish there was a better solution to the ramp/entrance area because the ramp is a little finicky and you need to be patient and very gently in unhooking it and re-hooking it. I needs to be moved to access the litter waste container. I will be honest to say, I am not sure what would be the better resolution though. Probably a separate side entrance ramp but the challenge is that the walls need to be high enough for the litter area & the litter comb to work. Perhaps a stronger, easier ramp hook up with a permanent waste container that can be lined with disposable plastic bags would be a really good solution to this detail. Overall, happy with this product, recommend it and gave if full stars.

Save your money
This product is only good for taking up space. Don't waste your money, either use a basic cat litter tray or save up for the super pricey ones and try those.I do admit that the automatic cleaning is good for when you are away from home (eg. Work, school) to give your cat(s) a tidier box during the day.On the other hand there are many many negatives.1. The comb - the comb doesn't reach the bottom of the tray to scrape the litter from the bottom of the tray. So prepare to clean the bottom of the tray at least once a day. It also tends to get clogged with urine clumps, and then drags clean litter into the collection tray. That ends up costing you in buying more litter more often.2. The collection tray - the smell is muted well in the collection tray, that's the only good thing. The thin plastic material they make it out of is weak and feels like it's going to break. They would be better off giving you a solid sturdy one that can be cleaned and reused. It's also not nearly big enough for multiple cats. Their "multi-cat" sized unit should be the single cat size, and then double or triple the size for multi-cat households.3. Size - the overall foot print of the unit is ridiculous, with a small usable portion. Make sure you have lots of room. Our basic litter box had a smaller foot print and larger usable area.Over all, just be prepared to clean this litter box just as often as any other basic litter box. Im ready to just sell mine online to try and make some money back, and then go back to a basic box.

Wow
It's not autonomous. But it's nice getting help with the cat litter.
Motor seems pretty weak. Cleaning cycle stops on alot of small jobs. Litter needs to be pretty shallow so the pee gets stuck to the floor sometimes.Included scoop/rake cleaner is great though.

Works, but overpriced.
This litter box does what it says it will do, but I do not feel it was worth the price. The construction of the box itself is sturdy, but the moving components feel very flimsy, which is especially concerning with the tines of the sifting fork, which bend alarmingly when scraping things off them. If the tines snap, the box basically loses its function. The litter disposal trays are very thin cheap plastic that will crack in no time, and I am worried about how many replacements I will need. The lid of the disposal tray keeps disconnecting and not lifting properly when the fork opens the lid, resulting in the discarded litter clumps landing on the lid instead of inside the bin.I have to imagine the majority of the cost comes from the motion sensors, because the motor is so anemic that if you put half an extra scoop of litter in there by accident it sounds like it's going to have a heart attack trying to push through it. Oh, I suppose the lights along the bottom of the tray cost some money too. But... why does it have lights on it??? You can't turn the lights off or adjust them in any way, which is actually kind of annoying when I want it inconspicuously tucked away in a dark corner. I asked my husband why a litter box would have lights on it and he said "So that cats can find it in the dark, obviously!". Yeah. I don't know.Perhaps because all of the smelliness is concentrated in the disposal bin, this box actually smells much worse than a traditional one. The lid of the disposal tray has a "deodorizer" which is just a charcoal packet with a sticky back, which unstuck after about a week of litter dust. I threw it out and don't even bother to keep the lid on the disposal tray anymore because it didn't seem to do anything other than cause problems. The "litter cleaning" ramp doesn't do much. There's just as much litter tracked around as there was before, with an added pile of litter underneath the ramp that falls through the cracks around the bin.Changing out the litter entirely is actually MUCH more difficult than a traditional box because this box is so heavy and unwieldy. With a normal box, I'd scrape the bottom a bit to loosen it, then dump all the old litter straight into a garbage bag and start fresh. With this one I have to scoop it all out manually to do a full change because it's just too heavy to pick up and dump in the same way, plus I'd have to disconnect the bins and ramps and such.Having said that, though, when I first set up the box I kept an eye on its performance. After three weeks of emptying the tray and occasionally topping up the litter, the litter that remained was still basically pristine. It did a VERY good job of preserving the litter and I did feel I didn't waste as much with full changes as we did with the traditional boxes. Worth the cost? No. But it definitely did what it claimed it would do.My cats have clear preferences on which boxes they use for which business, and this box is perfect as the dedicated "poop box". It does a stellar job of scooping out all the little bombs and leaving the litter clean afterward. It does a less stellar job with clumped urine, and I can tell when the other boxes are due for a full change when this one starts getting clumpy on the bottom because they have abandoned the other boxes and have resorted to peeing in the poop box.I don't regret the purchase, but I won't be buying more of them at this price. If it was 100 dollars instead of 200, I might consider swapping some of the other litter locations with one. But the added hassles make it a wash in terms of efficiency, and I do not trust the build quality of that flimsy motor for long term.
