A very strange, unique and magical deck for inner wisdom.....
I love this strange, weird and exquisite deck. I have over a 100 Tarot and Oracles and this is the most unusual one I have come across. The artwork is some of the most stunning out there. such little details done with precision and vibrancy. I can only hope the artist one day decides on doing a Tarot deck. The colours are amazing, this is high-quality printing. There are 78 cards and they are are 3x5 and very easy to shuffle and handle. It's a very substantial and top-notch production in every aspect. It also has many more uses than the creators very limited ideas of how to use these cards. This is one of the few decks that shows the whole spectrum...from very very dark/frightening to blissfully happy....and everything in between. So many of the images come from myths, folktales and fairytales....it's bursting with archetypes. Many cards are so reminiscent of Tarot images (minors and majors). But it's not a Tarot at all and it's uses run the gamut from inner shadow work, persona/mask identification, relationship issues, storytelling, divination, self-growth, inspiration, creative writing prompts, spiritual pathworking/exploration and self-actualization. As you can see this deck's range is broad and many layered. The sky is the limit as to how this deck may be used. The images evoke some very strong reactions and can set your exploration and imagination off in many directions. You will find this is a deck you reach for again and again. The LWB is wonderful (and very large) if sometimes a bit stilted because of the translation. The author can come across as sort of preachy and know-it all. Like his/her way is the way, the only way to look at the archetype and image/card, sometimes it's almost as if you're being yelled at Per usual a strange and very different deck has a german only large book. Disappointing! I hear the book has meanings card a day, affirmations and much more, I would love to be able to read it! But the large LWB sets you off on the right direction and is very useful. If just for the exquisite and sublime art in these cards this deck is worth owning, but it delivers so much more. Get it yourself and awaken the muse within.

Symbols that make contact
These cards are gorgeous and incredibly poignant symbolically. Takes me in even deeper studies of the various archetypes weaving the astrological in, if the reader is inclined. Very helpful.

Truly a deck to make your own
This Deck is unlike other tarot card decks. The cards are not named on their faces, but include symbols like those in astrology. This deck is for anyone who truly seeks working with their intuitive self. The artwork is phenomenal and really speaks to the subconscious. The booklet gives ideas as to the artist's meaning of the cards and different ways of using them. I recommend this deck for anyone who is searching for that ultimate "their own" deck. As a tarot reader of over 45 years, I grew tired of the symbolism which is repeated over and over again. This deck has set my subconscious free.

Very nice deck, but the book and the cards are ...
Very nice deck, but the book and the cards are hard to match up for using the meanings. The cards are not marked to be able to identify them for meanings. So I used a pencil to make very small numbers on the bottom of the cards...not noticeable, but helps in learning the card meanings and to see how they resonate for me. The book meanings are written more in the form of self awareness rather than fortune telling. But based on the pictures, you can translate them into a type of oracle card. The cards are not based on Rider Waite meanings. There is not a major or minor arcana.

I found my deck!
I'm new to card reading & have collected around 25 decks just for their art work. I fell in love with the art work on this deck. When I first opened the deck I realized it was in order with the book. I hated to do it but I took a fine point sharpie & put a number at the bottom every card so I could find it in the book. I started looking up the meanings in the book & online. A week ago my hot water heater went out & it's in the attic. My friend went into the attic to check on it & fell through my ceiling. On my kitchen table sat my deck & the card facing up was "The Fall". Needless to say I started using the deck & it's been right on. It may be a trigger deck for the past for some but for me it's today's events. I will eventually purchase another deck that I haven't written on. I use a 5 card spread, pulled at random from the deck: 1 Situation, 2 Emotions, 3 Obstacle, 4 Final Goal, 5 Advice. I don't know anything about astrology so I don't use the symbols. The pictures tell a pretty clear story so I don't use the LWB so much either. It would be nice if someone would translate the book that goes with these cards into English. I would love to read it.

The Deck Is Awesome; the Cards Are Flimsy
I have been reading Symbolon both for myself and for others for the past 5 years. When I first started, this deck was pretty much the only option available. The cards in the large/standard sized deck are HUGE and very thin, making it hard to shuffle for someone with small hands like me. Frankly, even if they fit into my hands, I would still have a hard time shuffling because of the thin cardstock. I ended up using the large deck as, basically, my flash cards when taking an online course on how to read it: writing the numbers and card names straight on them. It was a great learning tool. I used the same deck when I was writing my guide on Symbolon, as it was helpful with numbering and combinations. For divination or the actual reading? Buy a smaller deck: it is thicker and sturdier, much easier to shuffle, and no hands are too small for it.

Very versatile and helpful deck. highly recommend!
I love this deck, but the little white book that comes with it is not user friendly. It is very poorly written and designed. I suggest putting it away, and just look at the imagery on the cards. They are so evocative and easy to "read". One does not need to read the guidebook, Just look at the imagery. I enjoy using this deck alone and with other decks. It adds depth to the query. And like I said the cards are super easy to read. I ignore the astrology signs in the corners. The LWB is more written for astrology scholars. so if you are not scholar in astrology, then just put the little guide book away. and draw some cards. play with the deck. It is so versatile. I esp. like it for relationship queries, as it has so many great images to cover fuller spectrum of human romantic relationship, more aspects than regular tarot decks. And there are so many different perspectives of fools card too. So many different perspectives of fear, inner conflicts, shadows, etc. Love, love, love this deck. i wish more artists would follow this guide and do freer decks?

I'm in love
I am in love... one of the best decks that I have ever bought. The problem is the codification of the cards and the poor quality of the manual, but it is a good opportunity for creating my own (searching and using other sources) and deeping my understanding... but with a piece of ingenuitiy anyone can do it. It is highly recomended and beautiful, and the symbolic structure is useful for therapy and unconscious exploration.
