inexpensive soldering iron
I needed a soldering iron for one simple project, attaching headers to a couple of ESP32 development boards that came with detached headers. I could accomplish this using this iron, with a bit of annoyance. Its stand was unusable. It is very poorly designed and nothing prevents it from folding and dropping hot iron on the table, so be extra careful if you still want to use this stand. It doesn't help that the power cord of the iron is rather stiff and its pull alone is enough to fold the stand and drop the iron. The power regulator of the iron was off center and couldn't be moved, however this was easy to solve by disassembling and reassembling the iron.

Nice Iron!
I just got around to using this today, works great. The quality is good too. The tips seem to be just as good as Ungar used to be, before they were bought by Weller. Be sure to get tip tinner to keep your tips longer. I clean and tin my tips every time I set down the iron, I've had some tips last over a year of daily use. Buy a set of extra tips if you use desolder wick, it has a tendency to eat up tips quick, and use only those tips to do all your desoldering.

Just right for soldering really small electronics
I used this to fix a very tiny broken circuit in my 40 year old HP-41C calculator. The connection was so small that I needed to buy an adjustable magnifying light just to be able to see what I was doing. This soldering iron worked perfectly and my father was amazed that I was able to solder/fix such a small connection. The solder tips provided are useful for a wide variety of fixes. Nothing beats having the right tool for the job and I would buy this again in a heartbeat, especially given the low price. Good luck with your own "micro-soldering" jobs!

Excellent value for the money! Gets the basic jobs done with ease!
It’s a very cheap iron and it shows, but I just needed something for some occasional quick and dirty soldering in my apartment. It does good enough for some basic soldering but don’t expect to be doing and SMD rework or anything with this. The tips are surprisingly pretty good and are holding up well. I recommend not using the included sponge, do yourself a favor and get a brass shavings tip cleaner to protect the tips! My only complaint so far is that the temp control is kinda finicky, so I just max it out. Also, the stand is really small and easy to knock the iron off of, other than those issues this is a great budget kit for on-the-go quick work or basic stuff, and it’s a great price for what you get.

Nice quality soldering kit for electronic hobbyist
Good quality with multiple tip sizes. It heats up quickly and has a temperature control. The fine tip works well for surface mounted devices (SMD) which are becoming more common. I have other soldering irons and guns, but these are too big and hot for the newer smaller components being used. This soldering iron would not work for soldering on coax connectors to coax cable, but that is not what it is designed for. Everything in the kit comes in a small Velcro case and does not take up much space in your tool kit.

Good value for money
Bought this set for a DIY tech project of restoring a Nintendo Gameboy advance. I had only a little prior soldering experience from years ago. I successfully used this iron for the first Gameboy, and even did a second one using it. So far it's still working. Worth the cheap price for at home little projects.

Great Product for my Purpose
This soldering kit has worked perfectly for my intended purpose. See pics - Use to make added drain holes in my Orchid pots. The price was was great for the iron with stand & different size tips. Gets hot very quickly. The stand supports the iron just fine. I was happily surprised by the well made storage bag that came with it. Everything in its place & folds up compactly as pictured!

Works great for the misuse I apply it to
As weird as it sounds, I wanted an inexpensive soldering iron for melting plastic. Specifically PLA plastic using in 3d printing. At its lowest setting, it easily melts PLA for after-print alterations. It's a nice little kit and wraps up nice and tidy.No regrets!
