Sure they're considerably more expensive than your usual water/juice glasses, but they're made by La Rochere! The folks who made Napoleon's glasses! Anything that's good enough for Napoleon has got to be good enough for me! These are great. I no longer need to buy wine glasses since these are perfect for wine as well (when I'm pretending to be sitting at a cafe in France drinking a carafe of wine). They have a certain charm and whimsy that even my wine snob friends don't gasp when I serve wine in them. Great for juice in the mornings as well, as it helps with portion control (which helps when my brother wants to come over and drink gallons of my organic OJ). I thought these would have a greenish blue tinge (like sea glass), and was a tiny bit disappointed when I saw that they were completely clear. But that's the way it's supposed to be, right? Anyway, I love these. My mother tried to get me to give them to her on her latest visit, and had to pretend that they were my roommate's so that I can keep them in my house!
